Job Description

This Project Manager is responsible for managing the setup, execution, and reporting for multiple IT projects supporting the commercial business. The position is ideal for a candidate with approximately six years of experience and will be based on the East Coast, working in close partnership with a Product Owner. 

The Project Manager will serve as the central point for project execution. Key responsibilities include initiating projects, ensuring they remain on schedule, and providing regular status updates to all stakeholders. This requires close collaboration with a diverse team of marketers, business analysts, software engineers, architects, and QA engineers. The successful candidate will be adept at fostering a collaborative environment to keep the team aligned and focused. 

Responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end execution of multiple IT projects, from initial setup and planning to final reporting. 

  • Serve as the central point of contact for project execution, ensuring timelines are met and deliverables are achieved. 

  • Provide regular, clear, and concise status updates to all project stakeholders, including business and technology teams. 

  • Foster a highly collaborative environment among diverse team members, including marketers, business analysts, software engineers, architects, and QA engineers. 

  • Translate business requirements into detailed, actionable project plans. 

  • Report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure project success and impact. 

  • Contribute to the financial oversight of projects by facilitating estimation, developing statements of work (SOWs) with partners, and managing project budgets. 

  • Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures. 

  • Utilizes formal SDLC to coordinate system development activities. 

  • Prepare and deliver presentations.


Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 6 years’ experience; Master’s Degree with 5 years’ experience; PhD with 0 years’ experience in Business Information Services, or Computer Sciences preferred. PMI or PMP certification a plus. 
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to unite teams and manage stakeholder expectations. 
  • Experience with project financial management, including budgeting, estimation, and SOW development. 
  • A proactive, solution-oriented mindset with the ability to navigate complex challenges. 
  • Must be based on the East Coast. 

Preferred 

  • Experience in a regulated industry, such as pharmaceuticals or healthcare. 
  • Background in managing IT projects specifically supporting commercial or e-commerce functions. 
  • Experience working in close partnership with a Product Owner. 
  • Familiarity with modern software development and project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum). 
  • Experience in professional consulting and program/project management; formal training in SDLC methodologies.

Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range.
