Job Description

Project Management Officer is responsible for supporting General Manager in the implementation, tracking and communication of strategic projects and initiatives to ensure high quality delivery. The role is office-based in Prague or Bratislava, supporting affiliate activities in Czechia and Slovakia.

Core Responsibilities:
 

  • Oversee and drive special projects across areas such as strategy, commercial, organization and/or operations by ensuring alignment and clarity of project scopes and plans.
  • Ownership of specific projects including (but not limited to) defining issue, developing project plan, undertaking analysis, presenting results, identifying and facilitating the removal of blockers while working with respective stakeholders for implementation.
  • Report at affiliate management team on projects’ status, progress, risks/issues, and costs; identify project resource conflicts and opportunities for optimization; challenge project plan progress; document learning and project deliverables.
  • Carry out research and relevant studies on specific topics related to business, prepare reports on findings to ensure executive-level requests and materials are properly prepared to facilitate a rapid analysis, prioritization and decision-making process
  • Ensure a standardized approach to project management on an affiliate basis in order to facilitate consistency and eliminate duplication of effort
  • Manage coordination between functions and management team via information share, analysis studies, agenda management and meeting plans.
  • Record and document all affiliate management team meeting minutes and follow-up with respective stakeholders on assigned tasks.
  • Advise and support the GM and the management team with the implementation and rollout of the affiliate Commercial strategy and priorities
  • Guide and support the project leads of strategic workstreams to ensure delivery of the milestones and scope of their project according to PMO standards
  • Setup of outcome-oriented project management standards, including dashboard and KPIs to guarantee efficiency and sustainability within the rollout of projects (e.g. including change management)
  • Supervision of cross-functional interdependencies and stakeholders between strategic workstreams (global + local) and action items with project owners
  • Plan and execute Business Exchange as well as to create alignment on strategic priorities
  • Coordination and preparation of monthly affiliate management team sessions (agenda, minutes, coordination with speakers)
  • Planning and execution of management offsites with GM and the management team in terms of topics/content
  • Align closely with expert functions to cascade management topics to the right stakeholder e.g. Communication, HR, CEX

Qualifications

  • Degree in Engineering, Lifesciences, Business Administration, Economics or related fields,
  • Previous experience in a similar role (approximately 3–4 years) with strong analytical skills and the ability to leverage data insights to inform and influence strategy
  • Excellent communicator with excellent command of English language, verbally and written

  • Proven track record in project management (skills and tools)
  • Experience in integrated planning and working in matrix organization
  • Good communication and social skills and empathic personality with strong focus on AbbVie’s cultural values
  • Ability to work independently and self-motivated project manager and communicator
