Job Description

Lead and manage Packaging Materials and Center of Excellence groups. This role will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and integration of these two critical components of our clinical supply chain, while also overseeing higher-level, cross-functional initiatives within the organization. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of clinical supply chain processes, and the ability to drive strategic programs to successful completion.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage exempt individuals responsible for all aspects of commodity management
    • Oversee the procurement, inventory management, and quality control of packaging materials.
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
    • Coordinate with suppliers to maintain optimal stock levels and cost efficiency.
  • Manage Center of Excellence (COE) team of exempt individuals responsible for project management of key clinical supply chain documentation
    • Support team with system/information sourcing/troubleshooting.
    • Have extensive system understanding to support preparation of Manufacturing Requests
    • Oversee job readiness, targeting 80% of requests in on time.
    • Support development/enhancement of comparator procurement processes.
  • Implement and maintain best practices for packaging processes to enhance efficiency and compliance.
  • Lead and manage cross-functional initiatives that impact the clinical supply chain.
  • Collaborate with departments such as Project Management, Clinical Operations, and Quality Assurance
  • Drive continuous improvement projects to enhance supply chain processes and systems
  • Identify key performance indicators and implement tracking mechanisms to measure success.
  • Develop and mentor staff, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Education and Experience:
    • Bachelor's degree in a related field (Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Life Sciences, etc.). Advanced degree preferred.
    • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in clinical supply chain management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
    • Strong knowledge of GMP, GCP, and regulatory requirements related to clinical supply packaging.
  • Skills and Competencies:
    • Proven ability to lead and manage teams, with a track record of achieving operational excellence.
    • Strong project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines.
    • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across functions.
    • Proficiency with supply chain management software and tools.

    • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and a fast-paced environment.
    • Strong analytical and strategic thinking capabilities.

  • The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range.
