Coordinate and distribute work in assigned area. Establish priorities to optimize the weighing rooms turnaround. Oversee the drug weighing operation to ensure full GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) compliance. Request materials and adjust inventories needed for production.
Responsibilities
List up to 10 main responsibilities for the job. Include information about the accountability and scope.
- Assign personnel to weigh materials needed. This includes: allocation/de-assignment of materials and being able to release orders. Assigns, verifies, and completes documentation for material handling.
- Use the inventory controls and transaction systems (POMSnet and/or SAP system) to create and confirm orders, adjust inventory and consume materials ensuring to maintain strict material controls.
- Coordinate cleaning, maintenance and repair of weighing area equipment, rooms and adjacent areas with the weighing or maintenance staff of the areas.
- Check that the temperature and humidity charts of the weighing area follow the established processes. Report errors or discrepancies to superiors during the process while seeking a solution to them.
- Coordinate the quick and effective solution of problems related to equipment and generate work or maintenance orders as applicable.
- Know and apply the company's safety rules, cGMP, and policies and procedures. Provide assistance to operations in accordance with environmental management, occupational health and safety (EH&S) systems and promote continuous improvement. Comply with all EHS procedures and policies including incident reporting, use of PPE, waste management and disposal, and any other program applicable according to the position duties.
- Reports daily to the supervisor the work performed as well as reports delays or time not worked due to equipment problems, etc.
- Occasionally, will work as a Material Handler in the area. Responsible for the quality, productivity and efficiency of the weighing area looking for opportunities for improvement.
- Ensures that material inventories are correct and that both physical inventory and inventory match in MES, SAP and POMSnet.
- Train new employees in procedures and tasks.
- High School diploma
- Five (5) years of experience as a pharmaceutical operator.
- Basic knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices and safety regulations.
- Management of computerized equipment (i.e. POMSnet, SAP, Office)
- Operation of forklifts and/or other material handling equipment.
- Skill to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
- Ability to lead groups and achieve the effective performance of tasks.
- Basic communication skills in English and Spanish.

The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time ofthis posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location,and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is eligible to participate in our short-term incentive programs.
