Product Specialist Parkinson
AbbVie Neuroscience has been at the forefront of developing state-of-the-art therapeutic strategies to address key unmet needs in neurological disorders. By leveraging our clinical expertise and market insights, we are able to design novel interventions and pioneering treatments for patients with neurological conditions.
Parkinson’s disease is the second most-common neurodegenerative disorder, affecting more than 10 million people worldwide. In the Netherlands approximately 50.000 patients suffer from this chronic and progressive disease and will lose quality of life over time. The cause is unknown, and although there is presently no cure, there are treatment options to manage its symptoms. AbbVie offers 2 of the 5 treatment options for patients in an advanced stage of the disease.

Your Role at AbbVie
As a Product Specialist Parkinson, your responsibility is to coordinate and manage customer and other commercial activities in your designated region. You will work on maximizing short and long-term sales performance, always placing the patient at the centre of all initiatives and work cross-functionally.
In this role, your key responsibilities include:
- Achieving sales performance objectives, brand KPIs, financial targets, and marketing objectives to meet or exceed organizational goals.
- Creating pre-call plans using SMART objectives and executing post-call evaluations to continuously improve performance.
- Effectively addressing objections, misunderstandings, and concerns while consistently gaining logical calls to action for successful closures with impact.
- Proactively serving customer needs and expectations to build trusted relationships and secure mutually beneficial agreements between AbbVie and our customers.
- A growth mindset for innovative and strategic sales strategies that maximize business opportunities and address challenges.
- Proactively initiates, develops, and implements an account plan for every account to further develop in the current position and prepare for future opportunities.
- Developing and executing a call plan that ensures optimal coverage and frequency to key customers, maximizing access and sales opportunities.
- Building a deep understanding of customer needs, market landscape, competitors, market segments/dynamics, accounts, disease, product, and clinical sales expertise. Sharing this intelligence with in-field teams, the brand team, and the sales manager to ensure strategic alignment and optimize brand strategy execution.
- Differentiating AbbVie's value proposition with health providers, identifying and developing key opinion leaders, and maintaining relationships with disease state experts and advocates to enhance brand performance.

You should be open-minded, collaborative, goal-focused, and capable of managing multiple projects while communicating fluently in Dutch and English. Specifically, we ask for:
- A Bachelor's degree in biological sciences, pharmacy, business-related field, or equivalent.
- Preferred: 3+ years relevant work experience.
- In-depth scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive knowledge that establishes you as a trusted resource among relevant stakeholders.
- Strong business acumen and proficiency with business tools; strategic and critical thinking capabilities.
- Ability to identify customer style/behaviour and adapt quickly in all aspects of the sales approach.
- Effectiveness in a matrix environment, building collaborative partnerships with district colleagues and the matrix team.
- Leadership by example, consistently displaying positive behaviours and peer coaching, particularly in changing and challenging environments. Documented success in leadership, with increased responsibilities at district, region, and/or organizational levels.
