The Product Manager has end‑to‑end accountability for brand strategy, lifecycle management, and launch excellence in Neuroscience portfolio. The role is responsible for driving sustainable brand growth through the development and execution of integrated marketing and launch strategies, enabling sales excellence, leveraging scientific and medical capabilities, and building strong external partnerships.
The Product Manager operates as a strategic leader and integrator, working cross‑functionally with Sales, Medical, Market Access, Finance, Supply Chain, and Regional/Global stakeholders to deliver successful launches, strong in‑market performance, and long‑term portfolio value, while ensuring full compliance with AbbVie policies, quality standards, and local regulatory requirements.
Marketing, Product and Launch Management
- Own end‑to‑end brand strategy and lifecycle management for assigned products, covering both mature brands and launch assets.
- Lead launch excellence for new products, new indications, and major line extensions, including pre‑launch planning, launch execution, and post‑launch optimization.
- Develop integrated brand and launch plans aligned to global and regional strategies, local market insights, patient needs, and disease dynamics.
- Define clear positioning, value propositions, and core messages tailored to target customer segments.
- Design and execute insight‑driven promotional and omnichannel programs that support field execution and brand growth.
- Ensure full launch readiness across materials, tools, messaging, training, and executional plans.
- Monitor brand and launch performance versus objectives and budgets; proactively adapt strategies based on competitive activity, market dynamics, and early performance indicators.
- Provide clear, concise business updates outlining opportunities, risks, and progress versus agreed milestones.
Budget and Forecast Management
- Manage annual promotional budgets (e.g., TMK/IMK) in alignment with approved marketing and launch plans.
- Partner with Finance to deliver accurate forecasts, revisions (e.g., MFC, LE cycles), and required documentation.
- Closely track spend versus forecast, ensuring strong financial discipline and high forecast accuracy.
- Collaborate with Supply Chain and Logistics to support demand planning, inventory management, and continuity of supply, particularly during launch and growth phases.
Scientific Engagement and KOL Development
- Partner closely with Medical Affairs and Regional/Global teams to leverage scientific platforms, data, and insights.
- Support identification, development, and engagement of Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) in alignment with therapy‑area strategies.
- Contribute to the planning and execution of speaker programs, advisory boards, congresses, and scientific meetings, in full compliance with AbbVie policies and local regulations.
Training and Capability Development
- Lead or support the development and execution of product, disease‑state, and launch‑related training programs.
- Partner with Sales Force Effectiveness (SFE), Training, Medical, and external agencies to deliver high‑quality, compliant learning experiences.
- Ensure training content is scientifically robust, customer‑relevant, and aligned with brand and launch strategies.
- Monitor external agency performance against defined KPIs, timelines, and budgets.
Cross‑Functional Leadership and Collaboration
- Act as a key integrator across Sales, Medical, Market Access, Finance, Supply Chain, and other functions to drive aligned execution.
- Translate brand and launch strategies into clear, actionable guidance for the field.
- Partner with Sales leadership on goal setting, prioritization, and performance tracking for assigned portfolios.
- Conduct regular field visits to gather customer insights, assess execution quality, and support sales effectiveness.
Quality, Compliance, and Governance
- Ensure all marketing, launch, and promotional activities adhere to AbbVie policies, industry codes, and local regulatory requirements.
- Actively support the Quality Management System, compliance obligations, and internal audit processes.
- Role‑model AbbVie values, ethical decision‑making, and a strong patient‑centric mindset.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Health Sciences, Pharmacy, Business, or a related field.
- MBA or postgraduate qualification is preferred
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
- At least 3 years’ experience in Product Management, Brand Management, or a related commercial role.
- Demonstrated experience supporting or leading successful product launches and/or major indications.
- Experience across one or more therapy areas (e.g., Neuroscience, Immunology, Oncology, Eye Care) is desirable.
- Regional or multi‑market experience is an advantage.
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
- Strong understanding of pharmaceutical commercialization, including specialty and hospital‑based markets.
- Proven capability in launch excellence, including pre‑launch preparation, cross‑functional readiness, KPI tracking, and post‑launch optimization.
- Strong strategic thinking combined with hands‑on execution capability.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in complex, matrix organizations.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and project‑management skills.
- Proven ability to build trusted relationships with internal stakeholders and external customers, including KOLs.

Where We Work
Role is primarily site- or office-based but can occasionally be performed remotely. Employees who are site/office-based and can occasionally perform their role virtually work both in the office and remotely*, following the policies and regulations in place at their location. US Employees must be in the office on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday with flexibility to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays. Three days in the office is the minimum; some individuals or teams may require more in-office days due to meetings, business/project needs or their role.
