Moving mountains together – as PostDoc – Quantification of Biomarkers by LC-MS/MS (all genders) (full-time, temporary for 24 months)
We are looking for a PostDoc (all genders) with the motivation to support the bioanalytical method development and validation for small molecules and in parallel expand the bioanalytical toolbox in our QTAS (Quantitative, Translational & ADME Sciences) department focusing on metabolomics and multiomics.
Your tasks and responsibilities
- You will be responsible for developing and validating bioanalytical methods for the quantification of (pre-)clinical relevant biomarkers from biofluids and tissue including report generation.
- You will also take a leading role in advancing our biochemical and high-resolution mass spectrometry (HRMS) footprint to quantify Biomarkers while helping to shape the analytical workflows to enable high-sensitive methods in parallel to data quality, cost-efficacy and throughput.
- As a member of the bioanalytical team within QTAS you will benefit from the team’s strong background in bioanalytics, and will help us expand this knowledge with new technologies.
- You will supervise scientists and students to support their development as bioanalytical experts in the field of metabolomics.
- You will work in cross-functional teams with colleagues from other AbbVie sites and functions to align on the development and validation of bioanalytical methods for (pre-) clinical projects.
- As a Postdoc you will closely follow the technological landscape in the bioanalytical, metabolomics and multiomics field and evaluate new methods and instrumentation
- You hold a PhD in chemistry, biochemistry, biotechnology, pharmacy or related field.
- You have strong experience in derivatization-based methods and high-resolution mass spectrometry.
- You have experience in working with small molecules and their quantification from biofluids and tissue.
- You are skilled in analyzing, troubleshoot and present data in a broader context, and eager to defend data during scientific debates.
- As a highly motivated, self-driven, results-oriented and highly organized person with excellent communication and presentation skills, you are driven by innovative ways of thinking to improve processes, methods, systems, products or services.
- Affinity to data science and process optimization is a plus.
- As a global acting company, we presume excellent communication skills, including written and oral English.
