We are now recruiting Plastic Manufacturing Operators to join our team in Westport, on a 6 Month contract.

As our new Plastic Manufacturing Operator, you will be responsible for operating fully automated plastic moulding machines. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that plastic manufacturing is carried out in compliance with site and GMP procedures, and ensuring that manufacturing meets tight timelines.

 

PLEASE NOTE:  Flexibility around shifts isessential for these roles as it will include

  • Shift Rotation (Days/Evenings and Nights), permanent Nights or permanent weekends
  • Possibility of overtime at weekends.

Key activities you will perform:

  • Ensure that all plastic machinery is set up to run at optimum efficiency, both quality wise and safety wise.
  • Set up machines to ensure that they are operating as efficiently as possible.
  • Operate moulding in an efficient manner to ensure quality of components is off good quality.
  • Carry out all changeovers needed on the plastics machines.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area during and at the end of each shift.
  • Liaise with the maintenance department to ensure that all necessary mechanical/electrical work required on equipment is carried out
  • Comply with company standards on attendance and punctuality in order to meet the schedule and departmental requirements.
  • Maintain the machines in a safe manner.
  • General duties as regards labels, paperwork, materials handling, product scanning, recording outpost and materials used.
  • Ensure the quality of product/service is to a high standard and adheres to company policy on Quality Awareness.
  • Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Complete and remain current with all required cGMP and safety training.
  • Complete assigned training items on the ELMS on time.
  • Perform additional duties as required.
  • Assist with training of new employee when required
  • Comply with Company dress standards

Qualifications

Essential Skills, Experience, and Competencies:

  • Leaving certificate or equivalent is required
  • Excellent computer skills and competency in Microsoft applications
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Capacity to adopt and implement change
  • Ability to work on own initiative
