We are currently recruiting for a Packaging Training Specialist on a fixed term contract to join our Central Services team in Westport.

In this role you will be responsible for packaging hub training which includes line clearance related training, maintaining and updating of training related documentation, training on new equipment/processes, cross training for each of the packaging areas and LMS administrator. You will be required to design and roll out training modules with personnel periodically and review and maintain existing train the trainer effectiveness, identifying who has executed training in the year (and in turn receives trainers pay for that calendar year).

Your Key Activities will include, but are not limited to:                                                          

• Maintain strong relationships with management and colleagues both within the Packaging Hub and with associated Business units.
• Articulate the necessary training in a clear, concise and credible manner.  
• Actively participate in the training and certification of employees.
• Ensure all training is completed in line with regulatory and corporate requirements.
• Creates and revises procedures by analyzing current practices.
• Implementing change when required.
• Communicates training modules to employees across the site.
• Be able to confidently communicate failures / irregularities / observations in training
•  Assist in determining and implementing training and execution best practice.
• Work directly with the Packaging departments to ensure personnel are trained in a timely manner.
• Demonstrate an approach of continuous improvements by identifying and implementing efficiencies improvements through training and observations.

So, what do you need to do this role?

Qualifications and education:

• Third level qualification in relevant discipline preferred and/or 4 years experience in a similar role
• Training qualification
• Knowledge of packaging procedures and practices
• Ability to articulate clearly when dealing with personnel
• Proven to be self-directed, self-motivated and ability to prioritize competing priorities
• Excellent communication and presentations skills, both written and oral – ability to present data in a clear and concise manner to team members and where required, to management.
• Drive, high energy, maturity, and ability to work under pressure and deliver results; get things done (an action-oriented approach); ability to overcome obstacles.
