JOB SUMMARY: The National Project Manager reports to the Business Unit Manager Gastroenterology and is responsible for the overall project management of the Gastro Business Unit including the tactical implementation of Marketing initiatives.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead projects in Gastro with realistic planning, ensure strategic fit, diligent monitoring, and rigorous execution; take responsibility for project outcomes.
- Working closely with marketing, medical, sales, and customer excellence stakeholders.
- Close collaboration with external stakeholders with close HCP interaction
- Liaise with the other National Project Managers for best practice sharing and support
- Organize AbbVie’s promotional presence at selected national or regional congresses and educational platforms
- Organize or support AbbVie-organized branded educational events
- Support the implementation of promotional campaigns or elements thereof integrated in the defined Brand Story, ACE (advanced customer engagement) and omnichannel Customer Experience Flows (executional Brand Manager tasks)
- Support patient awareness or education initiatives in close alignment with External Affairs, Marketing, and Medical Affairs
- Leverage traditional, non-traditional, and digital communication channels as well as new technologies (e.g. AI) to maximize impact and efficiency
- Maintenance and enhancement of internal communication tools (e.g. AbbviePro)
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing or Biosciences. Master and Biosciences degree preferred.
- Proven experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Previous experience in marketing or in project management.
- Strong project management skills: Problem solving & solution oriented, can handle multiple projects and complex tasks
- Confident communicator with excellent presentation skills. Knows how to influence others and how to lead cross-functional stakeholders
- Strong team player that is determined and can succeed working with high level of autonomy
- Enjoys being close to the market and to customers and enjoys to co-create projects
- High level of customer understanding and focus
- Ability to effectively manage projects and team members to ensure successful delivery of initiatives
- Demonstrate tactical planning skills to achieve strategic objectives
- Ability to achieve results in cross-functional teams, takes ownership of work and effectively coordinates tasks
- Effectively communicate and influence all external/internal stakeholders
- Brief/Debrief and overall Manage External Agencies supporting us on the relevant Projects
- Develop and nurture innovation/ lateral thinking, able to develop appropriate solutions to complex problems
- Confident and fluent presentation skills
- Business fluent in German and English, French desired
- Ambition to grow into Marketing, Customer Excellence or Medical roles

Where We Work
Role is primarily site- or office-based but can occasionally be performed remotely. Employees who are site/office-based and can occasionally perform their role virtually work both in the office and remotely*, following the policies and regulations in place at their location. US Employees must be in the office on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday with flexibility to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays. Three days in the office is the minimum; some individuals or teams may require more in-office days due to meetings, business/project needs or their role.
