We are seeking a highly experienced National Key Account Manager, reporting to the National Sales Manager, Key Accounts. The candidate will be responsible for managing and leading the Medical Aesthetics’ business development with our largest national chain customer accounts. The product portfolio includes BOTOX COSMETIC®, Juvéderm®, SkinVive®, SkinMedica®, Belkyra™, and Coolsculpting®.
The National Key Account Manager (KAM) will be the face of Allergan Aesthetics to identified national chain accounts, building and developing long-term customer relationships. This position will play a critical role in the creation and execution of brand strategies for key products in the Allergan Aesthetics portfolio. The ideal candidate must be bilingual (French and English) and preferably located in Ontario or Quebec.
Position Overview and Role Description:
- Own the key stakeholder relationships, acting as the customer expert with identified national chain accounts. Maintain a macro view of the customer relationship and work cross-functionally within Allergan Aesthetics to maximize effectiveness and outcomes.
- Develop and implement comprehensive strategic account plans using business intelligence and market insights to drive growth and customer satisfaction.
- Formulate and deliver compelling value propositions tailored to customer needs, ensuring alignment with both company and customer objectives.
- Derive insights with key accounts and proactively identify challenges through effective customer interactions. Ensure that the right internal mechanisms are in place to overcome or mitigate challenges while acting as the core customer advocate within Allergan Aesthetics (e.g., identify customer’s issues, concerns, and priorities).
- Build deep and broad engagements within the Key Account’s organization and develop an understanding of their key priorities, structure, and business environment.
- Develop a customer strategy and business plan based on challenges, priorities and opportunities in areas of mutual interest. Translate learnings and share back with key stakeholders including presentations to senior leadership.
- Ensure a broad, superior customer experience in the Key Account’s interactions and collaboration with Allergan Aesthetics through coordination with all stakeholders driving the experience.
- Play an active role as an in-field team member and work collaboratively with cross-functional colleagues (Field Sales, AMI, etc.) to ensure strong execution against strategic priorities.
- Lead, motivate, and develop a cross-functional account team to achieve strategic objectives, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture while developing, tracking and reporting on key performance indicators that will drive success.
- Engage and influence C-suite executives through strategic communication, delivering high-impact presentations and leading effective meetings.
- Develop own and manage full account P&L and be able to deliver a clear understanding of decision making and ROI to support strategic decisions.
Key Account Manager Responsibilities:
Relationship Management:
- Develop trusting relationships with identified national chain accounts and grow those relationships to ensure maximum share and minimal competition intrusion.
- Identify new collaboration and growth opportunities within identified national chain accounts.
- Manage collaborative planning efforts with identified national chain accounts to drive accurate forecasting and maximize operational efficiencies.
- Provide business consulting expertise.
Strategic Planning and Execution:
- Develop account-specific strategies in accordance with Allergan Aesthetics’ guidelines and strategies.
- Develop business plans covering revenue, market share, product, and sample mix.
- Conduct regular reviews of business performance externally and internally.
- Develop national marketing programs in collaboration with internal cross-functional teams.
- Coordinate and manage events related to education and training
- Implement governance structures with internal resources.
Collaboration and Team Management:
- Collaborate with the Allergan Aesthetics Cross Functional team to drive program impact and success including but not limited to Marketing, Medical, Business Consulting, AMI, and Field Sales Managers.
Financial Management and Analysis:
- Analyze and interpret financial data to support strategic decision-making, demonstrating our value to customers through P&L ownership and management, financial strategies and a clear understanding of ROI.
- Quantify and communicate the financial impact of solutions, aligning them with customer strategies and goals.
- Manage overall budget and resource allocations for the territory.
- Responsible for territory sales targets and volumes aligned to quotas and sales performance across assigned brands.
Education, Experience & Competencies Requirements:
- Bilingual in French and English.
- Located in Ontario or Quebec.
- B.A. or B.S. degree or MBA combination of experience and education required.
- A minimum of 7 years of Sales and/or marketing experience.
- Key Account Management experience preferred.
- Change agility, curiosity, quick to adapt, not afraid to challenge the status quo
- Strong ability to proactively identify customer style / behavior and to quickly adapts all aspects of selling approach
- Experience in medical sales is required.
- Demonstrated track record of achieving and exceeding business results.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Strong business acumen and self-starter.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities, listening, and adaptability skills.
- Strong presentation and communication skills.
- Proven ability to effectively communicate cross-functionally within the company.
- Ability to effectively communicate with senior leaders both with customers and internally.
- Highly collaborative with a customer-centric mindset.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.)
- Able to travel up to 50% of the time.
