Job Description

Together, we break through  - as Medical Unit Lead Hematology Lymphoid Malignancies (all genders)

Make your mark:

  • Lead the brand-aligned Medical team (in-house and in-field) and ensure its compliance to corporate requirements and processes on medical activities
  • Drive Medical Strategy for the Brand within the Brand Team and integrate it into the Brand Plan
  • Oversee Medical activities within the Brand Team, according to local resources and regulations
  • Play an active part within Brand Teams and identify opportunities to work collaboratively with cross-functional colleagues to deliver on brand objectives
  • Explore with other affiliates opportunities for international collaborative studies
  • Develop consolidated budgets for Medical activities
  • Specifically, supervise the initiation, conduct and analysis of the results of clinical /scientific programs and clinical education activities; drive the integration of these results in the brand strategy
  • Review and release of marketing/trade press/patient relation/regulatory materials
  • Support the (deputy) qualified person in all respects of pharmacovigilance
  • Drives the prospective real world evidence generation plan at affiliate level to close strategically important gaps
  • Leads the planning of medical educational activities to improve standard of care, optimizing HCP knowledge for a better patient care
  • Fosters a digital mindset/digital transformation of the team
  • Oversees market access support
  • Leads and drives medical activities bringing innovative medicines to patients

Qualifications

This is how you can make a difference:

  • Degree as an MD, PhD, PharmD or comparable scientific qualification
  • Scientific background in Hematology/Oncology preferred
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in the pharmaceuticals industry
  • Minimum two years’ experience of managing a team
  • Experience of working in an in-field, stakeholder-/ customer-facing role preferred
  • Ability to build/lead and develop a high performing team fostering skills, knowledge and behaviour of the team developing talents
  • Ability to think and plan strategically and to adopt an open-minded approach to common challenges
  • Ability to understand, work closely together and to empathise with other stakeholders both within the company and external
  • Ability to manage and work closely within a team in a matrix organisation, and in particular with a commercial team and with in-field personnel from other functions
  • Ability to deal with conflicting interests within a multi-functional team and the leadership skills to bring these interests together towards a common goal
  • Ability to communicate formally and informally with top KOLs and other healthcare organisations
  • Ability to deliver high quality presentations both independently and as part of a team when incorporating technical data for external communication
  • Familiarity with GCP/ SOP
  • Basic familiarity with principles of financial management
