Job Description

The Medical Institute Lead for Allergan Aesthetics is a strategic position which will lead and direct the Northern Europe (Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland and Baltics) Medical Education strategy and operational activities. Leads a team of 4 direct reports of Clinical Specialists.

  • This role will deliver on local AMI medical educational tactics (aligned with International/ EU&CA/ GE) through a programme of Medical Education designed to support the on-label use of Allergan Aesthetics products. The AMI aim is to help meet customer medical educational needs to support patient safety and improved outcomes with Allergan Aesthetics brands.
  • This role is also responsible for the development of innovative strategies and operational excellence through an omni-channel approach to medical education.  Ex. supporting the development of AMI Digital World locally.
  • A key part of this role is to initiate, develop and maintain strong relationships with key opinion leaders (KOL’s) and AMI faculty, HCPs and other relevant stakeholders to deliver a best-in-class medical educational offering for Northern Europe in collaboration with medical affairs.
  • Internal cross-functional activity is the cornerstone for developing programmes of education which maintain / develop existing HCP knowledge and skills. The role will therefore work closely with International AMI, regional and local country functions to deliver a compliant programs that fits the local HCP need whilst supporting key country strategic commercial activity.
  • An important part of this role is to lead, and manage, the local AMI team including Clinical Specialists.
  • Role Models and supports Northern Europe Culture as active member of the Leadership team
  • Jointly accountable for the effectiveness of company compliance and governance operations for AMI activity through participation in Compliance meetings and ensuring team compliance through support and training.

Qualifications

  • Mandatory: Medicinsk grundutbildning & Kurs för informations- och marknadsansvariga - LIF-auktorisation som läkemedelsinformatör
  • Science/Business/Medical graduate or equivalent experience
  • Strong leadership experience and/or qualities and strong interpersonal, motivational and influencing skills; pursues formal and informal leadership opportunities knowing when to consult / inform and act
  • Adaptability – Able to work in a fast, dynamic, multicultural and matrix structure; adjust readily and able to delve into the detail and be hands-on as required.
  • Proven high performance track record of driving innovative solutions to business problems, in a cross-functional/ matrixed structure.
  • Experience in, and understanding of, Medical Education in Pharmaceutical and Medical Device (desirable) products.
  • Proven record in maintaining and developing relationships with KOLs, HCPs and other external stakeholders.
  • Experience of, or an appetite to utilize, digital channels for audience educational engagement.
  • Proven Commercial acumen with the ability to think strategically.
  • Experience in training / coaching individuals and teams
  • Passion for results – Drive, high energy, maturity with an action-oriented approach.
  • Exceptional communication skills with fluency in English (written and verbal).
  • Willingness to travel on a frequent basis up to 50% of time.
