Make your mark:
- Ensure local Medical Excellence & Operations activities comply with all AbbVie processes, the Code of Business Conduct, ethics, regulatory requirements, and local laws
- Proactively contribute to and implement global strategies in close cross-functional collaboration, supporting best-in-class medical infield team excellence
- Develop and implement processes, tools, and materials to drive Medical Excellence
- Lead digital transformation projects (e.g., AbbVie internet presence, multi- and omnichannel communication, and expertise building for the medical infield team)
- Monitor current market trends and derive actionable recommendations
- Oversee internal medical communication initiatives together with Corporate Communication, BTS, CEX, and Marketing teams
- Lead initiatives to enhance excellence of field medical teams in collaboration with CEX, BTS, and medical training managers
- Identify and pursue external project opportunities beyond the pharmaceutical industry
- Partner with subject matter experts across all therapeutic areas to support scientific communication priorities
- Advise Affiliate Medical Affairs on medical communication topics

Education / Knowledge
- Scientific degree; advanced degree (e.g., MS, PhD, MD, PharmD) preferred
- Excellent German (written/spoken), fluent in English
- Good experience in project management
- Proficient with Office 365
Experience
- Strong project planning and management experience, including successful business initiative implementation
- 2-4 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry (Medical Affairs roles e.g., Medical Manager/Advisor, MSL) with proven expertise in at least one therapeutic area
- Experience in infield teamwork or matrix organizations, cross-functional collaboration
- Experience in scientific/medical communication projects (agency background is a plus)

Where We Work
Role is exclusively performed at a site or office and onsite presence is required. Employees who are site/office-based and can occasionally perform their role virtually work both in the office and remotely*, following the policies and regulations in place at their location. US Employees must be in the office on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday with flexibility to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays. Three days in the office is the minimum; some individuals or teams may require more in-office days due to meetings, business/project needs or their role.
