Job Description

Purpose Statement

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Medical Affairs Intern to join our team. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to gain valuable insights and hands-on experience in the field of medical affairs within the pharmaceutical industry. As a Medical Affairs Intern, you will support various activities related to medical education, scientific communications, and research initiatives.                              

Responsibilities:

  1.  Assist in conducting scientific literature reviews and data analysis to support medical education initiatives.
  2. Collaborate with the medical affairs team in the development and review of scientific materials, including slide decks, manuscripts, and educational materials.
  3. Support the organization and coordination of medical education events, including advisory board meetings, symposiums, and webinars.
  4. Aid in the preparation and delivery of medical presentations to internal teams, healthcare professionals, and external stakeholders.
  5. Assist in the review and interpretation of clinical trial data, scientific publications, and competitor information.
  6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely completion of medical affairs projects and deliverables.
  7. Support the team in maintaining and updating medical information databases and resource libraries.
  8. Stay updated on the latest advancements and guidelines in the therapeutic area(s) of focus and contribute to the development of educational materials.
  9. Provide general administrative support to the medical affairs department as needed.

Qualifications

  • Must be currently studying for a Pharmacy, Medicine qualification.
  • Must be in senior years of studies (Essential) and willing to partake in a 3–6 month internship
  • Must be agile, ambitious, innovative.
  • Demonstrated leadership potential.
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Keen desire for knowledge and attention to detail
  • Must have an interest to build career within the medical and or the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Computer literacy (MS Office applications, in particular)
  • Able to be based in Cairo during the internship period.

Additional Information

Locations

Interns will be located at our Egypt office in Cairo.  However, some interns will be required to travel to other cities or go on field for certain missions and/or work from home from time to time.
