- Position: Medical Advisor, Oncology (new created)
- Location: Seoul, South Korea
Primary Functions/Objectives:
- Participate in the setup, oversight, and follow-up of assigned clinical studies/medical projects, ensuring compliance with relevant processes and procedures.
- Build and advance scientific credibility with Regional/National Key Opinion Leaders (KOL).
- Respond to requests for scientific/medical information and provide updates to KOLs as appropriate.
- Develop and maintain key scientific knowledge for credible dissemination and informed dialogue with physicians/KOLs.
- Ensure compliance with national laws, guidelines, codes of conduct, AbbVie's policies, and best practice standards.
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide scientific and technical support to KOLs/academic centers.
- Assist in the initiation, oversight, and follow-up of clinical studies/medical projects.
- Maintain contacts with physicians and KOLs to provide scientific knowledge in the therapeutic area.
- Deliver presentations on scientific matters to physicians.
- Participate in the selection process for qualified physicians for collaborative efforts.
- Develop awareness of competitor strategies and communicate within the company.
- Attend scientific meetings and provide summaries for company use.
- Assist physicians in directing requests for access to Company products, ensuring legal and regulatory compliance.
- Support internal teams by developing their scientific expertise through presentations.
- Provide scientific/technical support for publications.
- Ensure up-to-date knowledge of product uses and external data.
- Perform administrative duties timely.
Required Qualifications:
- Medical Doctor or Medical/Scientific Manager with a Master's degree in a scientific discipline, or higher, preferred.
- Experience in medical affairs, particularly in Oncology(solid tumor experience is must), Hematology(preferred), or related therapeutic areas.
- Solid knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry and drug development; clinical research knowledge is advantageous.
- Proven track records in leadership, managing people experience is must
- Interest in developing and maintaining expert knowledge for assigned therapeutic areas/products.
- High customer orientation.
- Excellent relationship-building, networking, tact, and diplomacy skills.
- Strong commitment to compliance with relevant rules and scientific quality and integrity.
- Good understanding of written English.
