The position will be reporting into Therapeutic Area Lead, Immunology.
- Primary Function/Objective:
- Participate in setup, oversight, and follow-up of clinical studies/medical projects.
- Assist in building relationships with Regional/National Opinion Leaders (OL).
- Respond to requests for scientific/medical information and provide updates to OLs.
- Maintain scientific knowledge to engage in informed discussions with physicians/OLs.
- Ensure compliance with national laws, regulations, and AbbVie’s policies and procedures.
- Core Job Responsibilities:
- Provide scientific and technical support to key OLs/academic centers.
- Oversee clinical studies and medical projects.
- Maintain contacts with physicians and OLs.
- Deliver presentations on scientific matters.
- Select qualified physicians for collaborative efforts.
- Develop awareness of competitor strategies and communicate within the company.
- Attend scientific meetings/conferences and summarize key messages.
- Support sales/marketing/internal teams with scientific updates.
- Provide support for publications of scientific/medical interest.
- Stay knowledgeable about product uses and external data.
- Perform administrative duties promptly.
- Preferred:
- 10+ yrs of relevant experience
- Medical Doctor or Medical/Scientific Manager with a Master’s degree in a scientific discipline or higher.
- Experience in medical affairs, especially in Immunology, Gastroenterology, HCV, or related areas.
- Solid knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry and drug development/clinical research.
- Understanding of scientific methods and legislative/regulatory controls.
- Interest in expert knowledge development for therapeutic area/product.
- High customer orientation.
- Excellent stakeholder relationship skills, networking, tact, and diplomacy.
- Strong commitment to compliance and scientific quality.
- Good understanding of written English.
