Job Description

This Marketing Manager I position focuses on leveraging the Peer-to-Peer (P2P) channel to engage HCP customers for strategic product education across the brand and disease indications. The MM will ensure the optimal execution of P2P tactics, including project management of P2P programs, communication/planning with field colleagues and pull-through into impact measurement. The MM will also develop content and materials in alignment with brand strategy to enhance share of voice and optimize the educational reach. The MM will collaborate closely with the sales force, thought leader liaisons, medical affairs, market access (GPO), regulatory, legal, finance and other cross franchise teams. Externally, the MM will work with various agencies, consultants, as well as HCPs to ensure the most optimal product education. In addition, the MM will have brand-level responsibilities that can include budget and select congress / meeting project planning. The MM does not have direct reports but must demonstrate the ability to lead without authority with strong project management and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • P2P Strategy & Execution: Partner with P2P lead in developing annual and tactical P2P plans aligned with strategic brand objectives, HCP educational needs and market insights.
  • P2P Content & Execution: Develop impactful P2P educational content and tactics, including speaker programs, broadcasts/webinars and related communications.
  • P2P Project & Budget Management: Oversee peer-to-peer programs, timelines, budgets and manage projects closely to maximize operational effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Speaker Bureau Management: Partner with the P2P lead on the management of the National Speaker Bureau. Optimize utilization and ensure adherence to compliant content delivery through a close partnership with compliance and medical.
  • P2P at Congresses: Support commercial planning and execution of exhibits, product theaters, and other potential peer-exchange forums at national and regional congresses.
  • KOL & Expert Engagement: Partner with Field Leadership and Thought Leader Liaisons (TLLs) to capture insights and learnings from key opinion leaders to help facilitate a peer-driven dialogue and knowledge exchange in the market.
  • P2P Data Analytics & ROI: Partner with Commercial Insights to define KPIs and continuously evaluate P2P investments based on program performance, impact on prescriber behavior, and market dynamics.
  • Brand Budget Management: Partner with director on budget management and oversight of the brand.

Talent will be hired at a level commensurate with experience. 


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree. Advanced degree preferred
  • 5 - 8+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry.
  • 3+ years of marketing-related experience
  • Experience navigating Promotional Review Committee (PRC/MLR) processes.
  • Understanding of compliance guidelines for the pharmaceutical industry (OIG, PhRMA Code)
  • Experience management budgets closely, as well as agency partners and vendor logistical support
  • Strong collaboration and team orientation and communication skills; with the ability to influence cross-functional teams
  • Demonstrated ability to operate quickly and decisively in a fast-paced, matrixed environment

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in Oncology
  • Pharmaceutical marketing experience, including involvement in the strategic planning process
  • Experience with platforms, such as Veeva
  • Analytical skills to help inform return on investment decisions
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and influencing matrix partners
  • Leadership skills and the ability to drive objectives and influence without authority
  • Demonstrated understanding of principles of market research to draw valid conclusions.
  • Experience working with and managing multiple external agencies including advertising, digital, external and internal partners.
