Job Description

The AbbVie Patient Services Marketing Team spearheads initiatives across various brands and therapeutic areas to deliver exceptional care models, enabling patients to achieve optimal treatment outcomes. As the Marketing Director, you will play a pivotal role in strategic marketing planning, aligned with AbbVie Patient Services' strategic imperatives.

Your focus will be on offering personalized care and enhancing connected experiences across multiple brands and therapeutic areas, including Immunology, Oncology, Neuroscience, and Specialty products. You will lead the development of innovative, patient-centric strategies that address evolving needs and trends for both patients and providers.

This team will focus on implementing new capabilities and adopting cutting-edge marketing strategies to boost patient engagement and care.

You will drive the APS Marketing Generative AI strategy assessments and collaborate with technology teams to enhance elemental tools for specific use cases. Your responsibilities include developing AI-driven personalized campaigns and partnering with teams to measure and scale pilot projects effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Guide the vision, strategy, and go-to-market plan for US Patient Services Marketing. Align cross-functional teams with a clear patient support program vision and purpose.
  • Innovation and AI Integration: Deploy generative AI to refine marketing efforts, streamline campaign creation, and offer personalized patient interactions at scale.
  • Digital Transformation: Lead APS Marketing's digital transformation by incorporating innovative ideas and initiatives to improve patient service experiences across all patient channels.
  • Collaboration and Influence: Partner with internal teams and external stakeholders, utilizing data and strategic insights to tailor marketing strategies and improve experiences for patients and healthcare providers.
  • Program Performance and Analytics: Oversee marketing program performance and collaborate with the Marketing Analytics team to ensure insight-driven innovation.
  • Leadership and Development: Cultivate and motivate direct reports, fostering a high-performing marketing team committed to achieving organizational goals.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Direct patient support brand positioning and messaging across a diverse range of stakeholders, including patients, healthcare providers, and access and reimbursement teams.
  • Financial Management: Manage the annual Patient Services Marketing budget, ensuring strategic resource allocation and effective financial planning to support scalability and innovation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree required; MBA preferred.
  • 12+ years of marketing leadership experience.
  • Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and influence key business decisions using data analysis.
  • Experience in leading creative, digital, and data agencies with a track record of successful marketing initiatives.
  • Strong leadership and teamwork abilities with a commitment to continuous learning and innovation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with proficiency in AI-related technologies.
