Reporting to the Head of Market Access – Sweden
Office based in Forskaren, Stockholm
Position Overview:
As the MAVP Lead you are responsible for the development and execution of the early commercialization plans and the market access strategies across AbbVie’s full portfolio of pharmaceutical products to ensure national and local access across Sweden for patients. You will also drive the market access strategy for one therapeutic areas as decided based on affiliate priorities. You will effectively orchestrate communication and alignment across the Market Access-team and serve as the Swedish Market Access subject matter expert. You do this while leveraging data, analytics, and a strategic mindset in all aspects of the business. This role is also a key contributor in getting internal price approvals and for facilitating external price negotiations. As Head of MAVP you will have the MAVP managers reporting to you.
Highlighted Responsibilities:
- Provide overarching leadership and direction for the Swedish market access strategies, plans and resource investment. Encompass a “One AbbVie” mindset and perspective in all strategies.
- Responsible for developing and executing the market access strategies across the decided focus area within the portfolio of AbbVie products.
- Generate robust asset commercialization plans and market access launch plans in preparation for launching multiple new assets into the market simultaneously, and over the course of the product lifecycle including strategies for additional indications.
- Responsible for management of the MAVP:s including performance and talent management activities like goalsetting and development plans.
- Bachelor or Master degree within areas such as medicine, pharmacy, economics or similar, and preferably with 10-15 years of experience from pharma industry or healthcare
- Full understanding of Market Access and Health Economics within the Swedish payer system
- Experience from Health Economics and Market Access is mandatory. Sales, Marketing and/or Policymaking is beneficial.
- Knowledge of our prioritized therapeutical areas is an advantage.

Where We Work
Role is primarily site- or office-based but can occasionally be performed remotely. Employees who are site/office-based and can occasionally perform their role virtually work both in the office and remotely*, following the policies and regulations in place at their location. US Employees must be in the office on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday with flexibility to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays. Three days in the office is the minimum; some individuals or teams may require more in-office days due to meetings, business/project needs or their role.
