Role Overview:
Proactively assess trends, policies, and emerging issues and develop strategies, policies, and actions to effectively address issues that impact AbbVie’s business operations. Develop and execute market access strategies and plans. Using the Future Fit tools for leading/shaping the environment and showing the value propositions of AbbVie Products; understand, adapt and populate quantitative models to demonstrate the economic impact and benefits of products and liaise with local/regional Health Economics experts and marketing, medical, and pricing / reimbursement teams to develop customized and compelling messages.
Key Responsibilities:
Brand Teams:
- Knows and screens the trends, competition and how this affects the brand dynamics.
- Able to contribute actively to new strategies working with other functions in the Brand Team by ensuring a balanced approach between his/her functions and the Brand Team’s overall benefit.
- Leverage all stakeholders and matter expertise into one brand proposition.
- Collaborate perfectly with all functions.
- Manage conflict by dealing with trade-offs or dilemmas in a matrix environment.
- Bring fresh ideas for innovation in brand communication and stakeholder engagement.
- Commercial acumen, able to translate strategies into the market.
- Contribute in the building and maintenance of Brand team Way of working by demonstrating NoL behaviors.
- Update brand teams so they understand the HEOR / market information available and develop tools establishing the value for money AbbVie products provide payers / stakeholders.
Pricing/Reimbursement:
- Proactively assess trends, policies, and emerging issues, anticipate and effectively address the impact on business operations and develop strategies, policies, and actions accordingly.
- Stay apprised of business goals and strategies in order to assess impact to AbbVie from local legislative activities. Consult with appropriate business leaders in making such determination, providing recommendations for formulation of necessary action plans.
- Develop reimbursement scenarios and market access strategies in line with the Brand Team Members.
- Analyze the missing gaps for the reimbursement dossier preparations and proactively generate the local required data for the reimbursement dossier.
- Collaborate with Medical and Commercial teams to generate the local required data for the reimbursement dossier.
- Prepare the reimbursement submissions and objections handling.
- Keep informed all the relevant parties in the company about the reimbursement status of AbbVie products and make analysis of changes in reimbursement policies.
- Coordination of pricing applications aligned with legislation and ensure thar internal pricing database is updated.
Keep informed brand teams and finance teams regarding change of pricing/reimbursement conditions.
Stakeholder Management:
- Prepare and coordinate Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) visit list.
- Monitor changes and competitive situation in the environment to anticipate risks and opportunities for Market Access and develop and implement payer projects.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, Government Departments and payers in partnership with Government Affairs and lead lobbying efforts in Ankara in the design and implementation of new industry initiatives.
- Collect information from the market regarding market access in general and for products / competitors specifically to identify trends and business opportunities
- Maintain and strengthen communication with industry associations,
Value Proposition:
- Define Value Propositions by consolidating Core Value Dossiers, stakeholder needs, local environment and Brand priorities.
- Be in contact with AREA /GLOBAL to identify further requirements for value propositions development.
- Monitor and understand the stakeholder needs and requirements demonstrating value in order to provide better access for patients via collaborating with government affairs.
Strategic Initiatives:
- Plan and manage strategic initiatives in collaboration with government affairs colleagues and maintains/establishes a market access network including health economic and KOLs, patient groups and policy makers.
- Identify opportunities during execution of strategic initiatives that can make a value adding contribution for AbbVie.
- Good understanding of the regional healthcare environment, legal and regulatory frameworks that would affect the business and develop or implement strategic initiatives.
- Monitor & report local and regional trends in heath policies and activities in particular any important local and regional policy action plans in terms of strategic initiatives to ensure business benefit.
- Work in collaboration with the Global / Area for the localization of the Strategic initiatives.
- University degree preferably in life sciences, engineering and business/economics
- Fluency in English and Turkish
- Strong MS Office skills (word, excel, PowerPoint)
- Preferably a minimum of 5 years of experience in market access within AbbVie with achieving expectations
