To strengthen our team, we are now looking for a
MARKET ACCESS LEAD
In this role you will be responsible for the development of national market access strategies across assigned assets amongst AbbVie’s portfolio to ensure access for the patients. Together with your team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing pharmaceutical pricing and reimbursement projects, as well as hospital drug bidding processes and hospital-pharmacy customer relationships. Health economic analyses and RWE studies are familiar to you. You act as an expert in your own therapy area, with comprehensive responsibility for the Market Access measures in your area of responsibility. In addition, you support the Brand teams in your own therapy area. In your role, you will report to AbbVie's Market Access Director in Finland.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Leading your market access team in defined therapeutic area
- Responsible for developing the national market access strategy across assigned assets
- Work with relevant market access stakeholders to drive understanding of unmet need in relevant therapy areas and to shape responses and positions that help create a favorable access environment
- Proactively identify, pursue and convert opportunities for developing new and strengthening existing relationships with stakeholders and decision-makers
- Review existing and emerging sources of data that are relevant to infield materials, and advise on how these can be better applied to infield tools and materials
- Provide training, development and mentorship to the infield team
- Provide Brand teams market access leadership including driving the vision, strategies, plans and resource investment
- Lead market access strategy launch and post-launch through collaboration with the brand team
- Engage cross-functionally to ensure that there is clarity around the strategy and specific needs from the brand team
- Maintain expert knowledge of pricing and reimbursement landscape
- Understand the evolving nature of key external customers and communicate insights to the wider business
We are seeking a talented individual who is passionate about making possibilities real, who has strong interpersonal skills and an ability to translate vision into actionable plans. With your strategic and forward-looking mindset, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our business strategies and driving meaningful outcomes now and in the future.
We expect from you strong, prior experience in Market Access processes, new product launches in the pharmaceutical industry and knowledge of health economics, as well as managerial experience. You have a university degree suitable for the position, e.g. in the field of pharmacy or health economics. We expect expertise in drug evaluations, commissioning and hospital tendering, as well as interest in new products. This role requires skills for planning and execution at the same time. You will effectively solve future challenges independently and as part of a team. Working with the matrix and working in the client interface will work naturally for you. You communicate fluently in writing and verbally in both Finnish and English. As a manager, you have shown good examples of team leadership and engagement.
