Job Description

The Demand Planning Manager is responsible for analyzing demands, assessing forecast trends, forecast error and bias, and applying statistical forecasting models to develop both short and long-term forecast models. The Demand Planning Manager serves as a communication leader between Operations, Supply Chain Brand Teams, Marketing and Finance including but not limited to market insights, forecasting issues, and Approved Demand Statement (ADS) alignment, and product launch timing. The Demand Planning Manager supports the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process and is responsible for understanding and communicating drivers related to forecast variability.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze demands, assess forecast trends, and evaluate forecast error and bias at a Demand Forecasting Unit (DFU) level
  • Provide statistical forecasting models and or Supply Chain demand recommendations to affiliate finance for short and long-term forecasts
  • Support Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process
  • Develop and maintain comments/drivers for any Demand Forecasting Unit (DFU) exceeding established targets
  • Support Brand’s strategic decisions and ensure forecasts are aligned to strategy
  • Serve as a liaison between Finance, Marketing, Supply Chain Brand Teams and Operations
  • Provide training and drive continuous improvement for S&OP, Demand Management, and Statistical Forecasting Processes
  • Influence others and act as a credible and respected role model among peers for onboarding/training of new employees
  • Support LOE, discontinuation, and Life Cycle Management strategies
  • Participate in Affiliate Demand Review, Supply Chain Brand S&OP, and Area S&OP meetings

 


Qualifications

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or Science
  • 7 or more years of experience in Operations, Supply Chain Management, and or Financial Management
  • Experienced with formal Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes and system experience across SAP, JDA and QlikSense
  • Proven experience in managing effective teams and fostering collaboration across organizational boundaries
  • Excellent organizational, written, and oral communication skills are required
  • Proven ability to possess strong problem solving, negotiation and conflict resolution skills
  • Results & process oriented, focusing on process improvements to drive higher levels of performance
  • Significant cross-functional leadership capabilities – ability to lead, collaborate and influence without authority; uses informal structure, dynamics, and culture to get things done
  • Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills are required

**Flexibility on collaborating with global teams may be requested as per different time zones. 

Significant Work Activities
Continuous sitting for prolonged periods (more than 2 consecutive hours in an 8-hour day)
