Reporting to the Lead, Brand Team Capabilities, the Senior Manager, Marketing Excellence is responsible for delivering continuous improvement in the ways of working, processes, tools, of our Marketing and cross-functional Brand Teams across all therapeutic areas and business units. This scope includes driving AbbVie’s Integrated Strategic & Tactical Planning process, leading the Launch Excellence framework and supporting the organization to embed and sustain Marketing Capabilities and competencies related to our advanced customer engagement model. 



The incumbent will need to work closely across the matrix, building strong relationships with Commercial brand team members, leadership, and cross-functional stakeholders in other relevant functions (including medical, market access, Multi-Channel Marketing, Learning, In-Field-Team Excellence) to drive alignment and consistency and executional excellence through all marketing processes and projects.


The role will entail offering strategic and developmental insight to drive marketing best practices and tools across Business Units in line with Global commercial brand excellence guidelines and materials.


The Senior Manager, Marketing Excellence, in this cross-functional role will serve as the catalyst to elevate AbbVie brand teams’ ability to deliver unprecedented launches and integrated winning strategies.


Key Responsibilities:
·    Drive and embed AbbVie’s strategic and tactical planning process across all business units. 
·    Ensure AbbVie’s integrated brand planning process is at the center of all capabilities and processes to elevate brand potential.
·    Ensure the Patient and Customer Experience is at the heart of our Brand Planning process.
·    Review and critically evaluate Brand Planning process to improve impact of brand strategy and tactics; plan and coordinate timelines/date commitments for Lauch readiness reviews and strategic planning sessions to Leadership team.
·    Provide innovative and continuous refinement of Marketing excellence activities and processes to drive improvements.
·    Collaborate with customer excellence colleagues to help implement and embed our digital transformation capabilities and competencies among the integrated brand teams.
·    Liaise with Global/Area Brand Excellence Teams to obtain information and updates on processes and priorities.
·    Work closely with your learning partner to implement a Marketing competency framework and onboarding curriculum.
·    Ensure the sharing and adoption of best practices across brand team members from all therapeutic areas.
·    Provide onboarding support/coaching to new Marketers & Brand Team members on related marketing excellence process.
·    Maintain full compliance with internal and external guidelines and ensure Brand Teams understand and fully comply with compliance requirements.
·    Take on responsibility for ad hoc delivery of Brand Excellence initiatives as needed (facilitation and creation of strategic & tactical planning sessions) 


Qualifications

Education/Experience and Skills Required:
·    Bachelor’s degree in commerce, Science, Healthcare, or related field, or equivalent
·    3-5 years relevant business experience (marketing and/or product launch) with a proven track record within the biotech / pharmaceutical industry.
·    Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.)
·    Knowledge of the 1-7-5 AbbVie Brand Planning Process is an asset.
·    Bilingual (French and English).
