Job Description

Reporting to the Equity, Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (EEDI) Lead, Global AbbVie Communities, the Manager, Global AbbVie Communities must demonstrate ability to understand, align, operationalize, support and pull through EEDI Strategy with an enterprise mindset and attention to company and HR strategy. Effectively engage project management from concept through delivery; comprehends risk, trade-offs and executes accordingly. 

Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate effective Stakeholder management and engagement
  • Engage project management from concept through delivery; comprehends risk, trade-offs and executes accordingly
  • Sound business acumen; analytical, strategic thinker that is technically adept and able to structure and synthesize key data inputs and outputs
  • Must be agile and able to navigate multiple & competing priorities, matrix organization, ambiguity and produce quality outcomes
  • Is self-possessed, understands nuance with organizational and political savvy and productive reputational impact
  • Able to galvanize resources and lead people without direct authority to meet objectives
  • Strong written, interpersonal and oral presentation/platform skills

Significant Work Activities: Continuous sitting for prolonged periods (more than 2 consecutive hours in an 8 hr day) is required


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree required.  
  • 7 years+ HR / legal / compliance experience managing sensitive data. 
  • 4 years+ of experience in diversity, equity and inclusion or in an enterprise and/or global role.
  • Experience working in mid-to-large global and matrix organizations in a complex work environment.
  • Proven track record of leading and implementing large-scale programs and projects.  Proven, successful track record in project management.
  • Organized and detail oriented with a successful track record of executing initiatives from start to finish.
  • Demonstrated commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment
  • Broad multi-stakeholder experience. Ability to influence people without direct authority to achieve solutions.
  • Vision architecture; high organization and detail orientation.
  • Effectively use data to tell a story or create a narrative for change.

  • The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.​

  • We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off (vacation, holidays, sick), medical/dental/vision insurance and 401(k) to eligible employees.​

  • This job is eligible to participate in our short-term incentive programs. ​
