The Medical Project Office (MPO) Healthcare Professional (HCP) Engagement Manager role is to develop and maintain strong relationships with key HCPs and act as a single point of contact for logistical needs for top tier HCPs who engage in group and individual activities with Medical Affairs. This position is responsible for managing the complexities of HCP engagements when participating in AbbVie Medical Affairs meetings. The HCP Engagement Manager is to assure the HCPs experience from preplanning, during planning, and post event was compliant, executed well and professionally. This role will lead effective HCP engagement in collaboration with Medical Affairs Business Owners, Medical Program Managers (MPM), Support Teams (e.g., Business Services Group (BSG), Central Consultancy Group (CCG)) and third-party vendors. This role is to ensure that the HCPs know who they need to work with at Abbvie without interacting with multiple internal processes and people.
Responsibilities:
•Ensure effective, efficient and compliant centralized management of logistical activities involving HCPs and providing guidance and recommendations when an HCP is attending meetings hosted by Medical Affairs.
•Maintain trackers and dashboards to be able to generate useful data analytics and reporting to business owners (meetings owners, leaders, etc.). Collect, summarize, consolidate and verify data from multiple sources for monthly budget tracking, reporting and reconciliation as well as quarterly aggregate review.
•Provide updates and feedback on HCPs to business owners and project managers during planning process and post event. Accountable for assuring overall global governance is met prior to HCP engagements.
•Consistently demonstrate adherence to compliance requirements and looks for ways to improve logistical compliance effectiveness by identifying process inconsistencies and risks.
•Collaborate with cross-functional partners and OEC on requests for logistical compliance approvals and deviations prior to any engagement with the HCP. Participate in relevant meetings with activity owners, meeting planners, and suppliers.
•Accountable for escalating issues, as appropriate. Identify process gaps and provide feedback to ensure continuous improvement; must be able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
•Strong interpersonal and communication skills but must also be able to work independently.
•Customer service focused expert who is dedicated to providing a flawless experience for the HCPs
•Travel required to manage all HCP logistical components.
• Bachelor’s Degree in related field is required; equivalent successful industry experience (10 years full time meeting planning or hospitality) can be considered in lieu of bachelor’s degree requirement.
• Working knowledge of operational and/or project management tools and processes within the context of meetings and events planning is required; preferably in the pharmaceutical industry with experience in interacting and coordinating with HCPs.
• Experience in leading in a multi-task environment, across multiple countries, as well as in a virtual and matrix organization. Able to work and communicate in virtual teams.
• Strong interpersonal and team-building skills; capability to engage in external professional relationship building and networking. High level of emotional intelligence. Strong business acumen.
•Highly refined proactive and consultative skills along with attention to detail; ability to set priorities and multitask in fast-paced, multi-project environment.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills; able to communicate clearly and succinctly with team members, leadership and HCPs.
• Ability to identify HCP and Business needs and respond creatively, gathering information and requests, asking questions, applying knowledge, and determining solutions.
• Knowledge and utilization of AbbVie’s OPPF Guidelines and iComply tool or equivalent compliance related exposure.
•Works well as a team player, self-motivated, ability to problem solve independently and in team situations.
•Knowledge and utilization of AbbVie system and processes, particularly for HCP contracting and invoicing, and meeting planning and program compliance (iHUB, Novastar, ATRIUM) preferred.
• Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to ever-changing scenarios, ability to influence without authority, ability to initiate new ideas, flexibility in day-to-day schedules to meet travel requirements.
•Must be able to travel internationally (all travel 50%) and work on weekends when required
•Requires flexibility and acceptance to working late evenings, early mornings, and physically be able to be on feet and stand for multiple hours.

The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
