Purpose
Performed preventive and corrective maintenance activities for laboratory equipment/systems for Chemistry, Microbiology, Incoming QA, final QA and Plastic laboratories in accordance with the regulations applicable to our industry (National code, USP, cGMP, OSHA, etc.), operational manuals, specifications, maintaining a high degree of reliability in a safe and efficient manner. Provide technical support to the laboratories and validations activities related to the laboratory instruments.
Responsibilities
•Comply with AbbVie's Policies, with the Plant Procedures, and with the regulations and requirements of Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) of the Federal Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
•Perform and document preventive maintenance and corrective work orders assigned under supervision complying with applicable procedures
• Perform repairs and reports malfunctions of equipment to the supervisor.
• Read, interpret and use drawings, electrical, equipment, and schematic manuals as reference when performing maintenance work. Identify problems and causes and make corrections / repairs if necessary.
•Select and maintain inventory of spare parts for equipment and instruments.
•Provide technical advice or train co-workers in the operation, maintenance of instrument of high technological level and other aspects necessary to perform the job.
• Organizes and performs testing for qualifications.
• Write and update SOP, work instructions and qualification documents as required.
• Open change control records for projects in GTW.
• Manage qualification projects.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Associate’s degree with an emphasis in Engineering, Biology, Chemistry, Science or Physics and four (4) years of related lab experience is preferred. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
•Minimum two to three years of experience in pharmaceutical industry, Laboratories, Industrial Mechanics, Electricity, Electronics and / or Refrigeration or related areas.

The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is eligible to participate in our short-term incentive programs.
