Purpose:
- AbbVie Singapore is offering an exciting legal internship opportunity in a Fortune 500 global company.
- To enhance the knowledge of the intern regarding the pharmaceutical sector and gain insights into working as an in-house lawyer at a reputable multi-national company, to support his/her career planning
Program curriculum:
Includes but is not limited to:
- Participating in customized courses to gain understanding of the company’s business, industry knowledge and work of the legal department
- Assist in the daily work of the legal department supporting affiliates across Asia to gain perspectives on business partnering as an in-house lawyer
- Gain an understanding in-house contract review, legal research, drafting of legal documents and advising internal clients
- Receive guidance and suggestions on personal career planning and development
- Have a keen interest in understanding the pharmaceutical industry and gaining knowledge in this field
- Currently enrolled in a reputable law school with a solid legal foundation
- Have good communication skills and proficiency in English
- Possess competency in using Word, Excel and Powerpoint
- Positive, friendly, can-do and collaborative attitude
- Be able to commit to a 4 week internship running from end November to December 2026 (there is flexibility with exact timings)

Where We Work
Role is exclusively performed at a site or office and onsite presence is required. Employees who are site/office-based and can occasionally perform their role virtually work both in the office and remotely*, following the policies and regulations in place at their location. US Employees must be in the office on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday with flexibility to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays. Three days in the office is the minimum; some individuals or teams may require more in-office days due to meetings, business/project needs or their role.
