Job Description

We have an opportunity for a Learning Partner to join our Learning & Development team. In this role, you will provide strategic oversight for all learning events within the therapeutic area, to lead the design and delivery of innovative learning solutions across the organization (brand teams, in-field teams, other key functions), while ensuring excellence in execution and that organizational and learning goals are supported. You will apply a learning consulting approach through the effective application of performance management and ensure that resources are used optimally, analyzing available data sources, and measuring outcomes.

Key responsibilities:

  • Partner with stakeholders to set learning expectations and drive business and organizational success
  • Understand the business unit goals, performance targets, and key results.
  • Collaborate with members of brand, sales and medical teams, and other AbbVie leaders to understand and identify gaps in individual or team performance.
  • Align with stakeholders on learning outcomes and provide blended learning solutions (traditional and digital) to close identified gaps.
  • Design curricula and learner journeys to advance individual or team effectiveness.
  • Design and deliver impactful and engaging workshops in-person and virtually.
  • Partner with stakeholders to design the learner journeys.
  • Establish KPIs and measures, including Kirkpatrick levels 1 to 4.
  • Onboard new hires in your TA by following Learning & Development procedures.
  • Provide feedback to new and existing hires during training and workshops to optimize training and course correct as needed.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of market landscape, therapeutic area, and brand strategies.

Measure and evaluate solutions

  • Anticipate future learning needs through the rigorous collection and interpretation of data
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret quantitative and/or qualitative data according to the measurement and evaluation strategy established during the design of the learner journey.
  • Summarize and report learning data to stakeholders to demonstrate how the performance solution impacted business outcomes.
  • Determine and implement refinements of the performance solution based on data results.
  • Blend experiences and formal solutions to achieve the desired outcome
  • Work with internal resources and vendors to identify the best learning solutions, optimizing time and budget.
  • Develop and implement the best blend of solutions based on business needs, gaps, intended outcomes, and design.
  • Incorporate a delivery mechanism (or mechanisms) that allows for effective knowledge acquisition and ample practice opportunities.
  • Use learner-centered methods that create a meaningful, engaging, and relevant experience for learners.
  • Work cross-functionally to develop & deliver learning initiatives.

Strategic thinking

  • As part of the brand team, develop a learning strategic and tactical learning plan in line with brand objectives.
  • Maintain knowledge of roles & responsibilities of different functions.
  • Take an enterprise perspective when designing learning solutions by considering which other departments could use or repurpose the training.

 


Qualifications

Education and Experience required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field (Science, Education, Business)
  • Previous sales or marketing experience preferred.
  • Previous Learning Partner experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of the pharmaceutical sector including the external environment, relevant stakeholders, and customers.
  • Instruction Design Certification and/or professional applications preferred.
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles.
  • Strong knowledge of traditional and digital learning capabilities.
  • Adept at navigating a complex matrix environment.
  • Strong technical and technology learning agility.
  • Ability to transform complex ideas into easy-to-understand communications.
  • Confidence in coaching and providing feedback.
  • Valid Driver licenses and passport are required.

As this is a head office position, the Learning Partner is expected to be in the office an average of 3 days per week.

Travel: Limited to less than 10%
