AbbVie is looking for an Intern to join our team at the Hoofddorp site. This internship offers the opportunity to gain hands‑on experience within a dynamic Medical Affairs department, supporting activities that contribute to scientific excellence, cross‑functional collaboration, and improved patient outcomes. The intern will work closely with Medical Advisors and Manager and other internal stakeholders on a variety of medical and scientific projects.
We are looking for a candidate who can start between March and early May, with a minimum internship duration of 10 weeks.
Internship Details
Location: AbbVie Hoofddorp
Start date: Between March and early May
Duration: Minimum 10 weeks (longer internships are welcome if covered by a university-issued internship agreement)
Work environment: Hybrid possibilities depending on team needs
Compensation: Internship allowance + commute allowance
Currently enrolled in a Master’s program.
Strong interest in the pharmaceutical industry and Medical Affairs.
Ability to analyze scientific information and summarize key insights.
Excellent communication skills in English and Dutch, both written and spoken.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks.
Proactive mindset, willingness to learn, and ability to work independently and in a team.
Good command of Microsoft Office tools.

Where We Work
Role is primarily site- or office-based but can occasionally be performed remotely. Employees who are site/office-based and can occasionally perform their role virtually work both in the office and remotely*, following the policies and regulations in place at their location. US Employees must be in the office on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday with flexibility to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays. Three days in the office is the minimum; some individuals or teams may require more in-office days due to meetings, business/project needs or their role.
