The Manager, Business Human Resources (BHR) is a trusted partner to the Intercontinental business, helping to shape culture, support business strategies and identify and develop the talent necessary to make a remarkable impact on the business. The incumbent will lead Intercontinental HR initiatives and projects, partnering with our Intercontinental BHR team and HR Centers of Excellence.
Responsibilities
o Partner with Intercontinental HR Head, and HR leadership team to determine and prioritize business strategies and key projects, initiatives, and related processes.
o Ensure a clear translation of Global HR strategies/processes to integrated execution plans across Intercontinental HR teams.
o Partner with Global and Area HR stakeholders (Talent Management, Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, HR Operations) to ensure seamless delivery of HR processes across Intercontinental.
o Assist or lead proposals and recommendations to resolve strategically important issues affecting business / HR function. Prioritize projects based on business needs and available resources.
o Plan, coordinate and keep contents to ensure focused meeting cadences and outcomes across Intercontinental HR Team. Coordinate Monthly BHR Staff Meeting, All HR Meeting, Best Practice Forum, etc.
o Partner with Intercontinental HR leadership to create executive level presentations and metrics that convey a strong story that support the organization’s strategic priorities. Coordinate Bi-Monthly HR Governance agenda and KPIs Dashboard.
o Able to understand and utilize historical and broad organizational data when weighing business HR decisions and actions.
o Responsible for HR related communications across Intercontinental. Manage Intercontinental Organizational Announcements process.
o Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree or other higher education preferred.
o At least 5 years professional experience, in a project management role at a highly matrixed, multinational organization.
o Experience leading broad organizational initiatives and working in a highly matrixed and complex operating environment.
o Significant breadth of understanding of functional HR roles and responsibilities and impact on the business.
o Strong communication, conflict resolution, and leadership skills.
o Proven ability to lead and influence without authority.
o Ability to effectively present ideas and document complex processes in both written and oral communication.
