Role Objectives
The HR Manager & HR Initiative (International R&D Team) will be a trusted partner to the organisation, helping to shape our culture, support our business strategies and finding and developing the talent necessary to make a remarkable impact on AbbVie and patients around the world. The incumbent will lead R&D BHR/HR initiatives and programs for the R&D Aesthetics business, partnering with our HR Centers of Excellence and helping drive activities for our R&D Aesthetics colleagues.

Highlighted Key responsibilities:
- Serve as a strategic partner to the R&D Aesthetics business, developing HR strategies, needs assessments and resulting HR solutions. Have credibility with Management to maximize successful outcomes.
- Propose, develop and execute strategic HR projects and initiatives in collaboration with the BHR Lead to resolve strategically important issues affecting a business segment. Prioritise projects based on business needs and available resources.
- Oversee and streamline processes within R&D Aesthetics, and strongly partner with HR colleagues and Finance colleagues on projects, transactions, and initiatives. Identify trends and new approaches to business processes that are incremental as well as “ahead of the curve” with a clear linkage with other organisational efforts being proposed or already ongoing in the respective business.
- Responsible for ensuring the effective “delivery” of all HR programs and services. Responsible for HR results in the business, including client satisfaction, HR effectiveness and associated financial results.
Establishes, builds, and maintains strong relationships with key HR partners from all Practice Areas and Service Centers to ensure elements of HR are successfully coordinated to meet business needs; includes relationship management, leadership, HR roles/responsibilities, and service delivery commitments. - Work closely with site HR teams and functional HR teams to build alignment across global teams and functions.
- Partner with people leaders to shape our culture of high employee engagement, high performance and, diversity and inclusion.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Master’s degree preferred or equivalent professional experience.
- Experience working in mid-to-large global and matrix organisations in a complex work environment with multi-stakeholder experience.
- Experience in project management, change management, conducting job evaluations, job and decision rights analysis and analyzing employee data to develop workforce strategy.
- Demonstrated commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment.
- High organisation and detail orientation with a successful track record of executing initiatives from start to finish.
- Ability to influence people without direct authority to achieve solutions.
