Job Description
The Head of Marketing, US OTC - Consumer Products is a franchise and business leader responsible for driving the end-to-end growth strategy, portfolio performance, and business results for the Consumer Eye Care franchise. This role provides enterprise-level leadership across franchise strategy, brand architecture, portfolio growth, innovation commercialization, channel strategy, and commercial execution. The US OTC Eye Care business is the largest business within the Eye Care business unit and is set up for continued growth through base business expansion and the launch of 3-5 launches in the near term. As the Head of Marketing you will drive both the base business by leading the Integrated Business Team (IBT) and also pipeline commercialization and supply issue resolution as the co-lead of the On-market Steering Team (OST) and be accountable for revenue growth, market share expansion, margin delivery, and long-term portfolio value.
This leader will own cross-functional enterprise planning across Sales, R&D, Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, Medical/Regulatory, and Commercial Operations to set portfolio strategy, prioritize investment, and drive integrated execution across the franchise. The role requires strong strategic thinking, cross-functional influence, and the ability to lead a team through a fast-changing, competitive market.
Areas of Responsibilities
- Set the overall franchise vision, growth strategy, and long-range priorities for the OTC business
- Own franchise strategy, brand architecture, portfolio prioritization, positioning, and annual operating plans.
- Lead integrated omnichannel growth strategy across professional, consumer, digital, retail, and eCommerce channels to expand reach, drive conversion, and strengthen brand equity.
- Lead channel strategy and retail activation planning in partnership with Sales and Trade to maximize franchise growth, share gains, and execution effectiveness.
- Own launch strategy, commercialization, and post-launch optimization for pipeline innovations and line extensions, including multiple concurrent launches.
- Build and execute integrated marketing plans including content, media, promotions, PR, and digital engagement.
- Partner with R&D, Operations, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain to support innovation, supply continuity, and launch excellence.
- Own budget, forecasting, and business performance with explicit accountability for P&L delivery, investment efficiency, and long-term value creation.
- Build, develop, and inspire a high-performing team, while strengthening organizational capability, succession depth, and matrix leadership across functions.
The following listed requirements need to be met at a minimum level to be considered for the job:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or related field; MBA preferred.
- 15+ years of progressive leadership experience with demonstrated franchise, portfolio, or P&L ownership in consumer healthcare, OTC, eye care, or adjacent categories.
- Experience leading end-to-end business growth, portfolio strategy, commercialization, and cross-functional enterprise leadership.
- Strong background in omnichannel marketing, including retail, eCommerce, and digital.
- Proven success partnering with Sales, Operations, R&D, and Finance.
- Experience leading large, matrixed, high-performing organizations and developing future leaders.
- Strong financial acumen with demonstrated experience in P&L management, investment allocation, forecasting, and business planning.
- Demonstrated ability to lead launches and drive business results in a complex, fast-paced environment.

The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

Where We Work
Role is primarily site- or office-based but can occasionally be performed remotely. Employees who are site/office-based and can occasionally perform their role virtually work both in the office and remotely*, following the policies and regulations in place at their location. US Employees must be in the office on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday with flexibility to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays. Three days in the office is the minimum; some individuals or teams may require more in-office days due to meetings, business/project needs or their role.
