As a Government Affairs Manager, you will manage Swiss policy priorities for AbbVie Switzerland and drive the AbbVie agenda across several key healthcare bodies and stakeholder groups. In close collaboration with neighboring functions, such as Market Access or Regulatory Affairs, you will drive and co-represent programs, briefings and other key assets on behalf of AbbVie. The successful candidate:
- Has in-depth knowledge of the Swiss healthcare system and is familiar with national policy making mechanisms.
- Successfully works with key stakeholders such as Interpharma, FMH, pharmaSuisse, scienceindustries, swissmedic, BAG, payor organizations or other relevant bodies within the Swiss healthcare environment.
- Designs, steers and executes advocacy strategies to help create a more favorable business environment in close collaboration with the Director Communications, External & Governmental Affairs.
- Implements priority programs and co-represents AbbVie towards a number of third-party stakeholders. In addition, the incumbent compiles, coordinates, and edits recurring briefings for the General Manager’s representation in key trade associations.
- Designs and topic steers political stakeholder meetings and events (national, cantonal) including building neighborhood relations in the greater Zug area.
- Has flair for communications and is willing and able to closely work with colleagues in communications and patient relations.
- Preferably degree in Political Sciences, Law, Economics or relevant related field.
- Minimum 5-7 years of relevant work experience within a Swiss-based biopharmaceutical company in a market facing role.
- Having existing network with regional health care stakeholders.
- Strong persuasion and negotiation capabilities.
- Advanced in German and fluency in English, French knowledge would be an asset.
- Strong communication skills.
- Strong project management capabilities.
- Dependable team player, analytical thinker, self-starter.
- Ability to work under pressure and to drive multiple projects simultaneously.
