The Supply Chain Planning NPI and Transaction Center of Excellence (CoE) is part of Global Supply Planning (GSP) and responsible for New Product Introductions (NPI) and transactional activity centralization. The CoE leads and represents GSP on US tariffs-related topics.
The Supply Chain Planner (SCP) collaborates with internal and external partners, key responsibilities include:
- Lead GSP Supply Chain setup and execution plans for AbbVie’s New Product Introductions.
- Drive process centralization, standardization, and outsourcing for GSP transactional work.
- Support and represent GSP in cross-functional US tariffs projects and have a key role in implementing and updating process and flow changes.
To achieve this, the SCP builds strong relationships with internal and external supply chain partners such as Third-Party Manufacturing, Distribution & Logistics, Global Trade Compliance, Quality Assurance, Finance, and the central distribution centers.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the cross functional creation and setup of New Product Introduction (NPI) within Global Supply Planning, which includes providing Product financial flow input, overseeing SAP supply chain setup (ready to purchase, ready to ship) and support first time shipments (Commercial, PPQ, R&D) and shipping lane creation.
- Improve the overall GSP process in NPI and capture knowledge in playbooks.
- Participate and represent GSP in the VLOG NPI/pipeline forum and other similar forums.
- Collaborate with GSP planning teams on an efficient handover to the planning teams post wave 1 product launch.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with supply chain (Brand, Distribution & Logistics), Manufacturing, External Contract Manufacturing, Commercial, Quality, and Finance. Serve as a point of escalation for stakeholders.
- Be the process owner for central transaction activities on behalf of GSP.
- Collaborate with outsourced employees at BPO (Business Process Outsourcing).
- Support central transactions, drive process standardization to allow for centralization and outsourcing and provide input for automation solutions.
- Identify GSP processes suitable for outsourcing and support the process change.
- Creates impact with ideas for the larger organization and anticipates and responds to changes.
- Drive reporting to allow for improvements and track, analyze and report on defined KPI’s to improve service levels and increase efficiency.
- Represent and support GSP on US Tariff mitigations. Collaborate with strategic teams and business partners, for example Global Trade Compliance, Manufacturing and Finance, by adjusting business processes and implementing updated financial flows and transactions to minimize US Tariff impact.
- Bachelor or Master level preferably in Operations, Supply Chain or Business Management
- 3 years’ work experience in a similar environment is preferred. Experience in AbbVie’s supply chain planning processes and systems is highly desired.
- Must be experienced with ERP systems, SAP Supply Chain knowledge is required.
- Be a team player with focus on process improvement and strong drive for results
- Proven strong problem solving, negotiation and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to step up and takes leadership to own challenges
- Must possess good analytical skills
- Hybrid working model: 3 days in our office in Zwolle
