Job Description

Responsibilities: AbbVie’s Brand and Commercial Operations (BCo) team is responsible for building and deploying scalable internal generative solutions to accelerate sales and marketing innovation. As a Gen AI Engineer on the BI and Gen AI team, you will play a vital role in facilitating internal software development leveraging enterprise LLM and generative AI tools. This will include meeting with product owners, architects, designers and developers to explain features, lead development efforts, and assist with supporting build activities. Strong technical and communication skills are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a technical liaison between the BCo BI and GenAI team and other development teams at AbbVie
  • Understand, share, and contribute to code documentation for the tools developed by the BCo BI and GenAI team
  • Understand and communicate to developers and business stakeholders the limitations of large language models (LLMs)
  • Assist in debugging interfacing applications
  • Promote the BCo BI and GenAI team team's products and foster adoption within the organization

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree plus 5 years technical experience, or Masters degree plus 4 years experience.
  • Strong technical experience as a data engineer, or a similar role, with a focus on data modeling/analytics or AI/ML software development
  • Hands-on experience of data engineering methodologies including advanced analytics tools such as R and Python.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information concisely and clearly

  • The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range.   • This job is eligible to participate in our short-term incentive programs. ​
