Summary of Job Description:
The Finance Manager, Oncology will be a key strategic partner to Intercontinental Finance & Commercial Leadership. This position will support reporting, analytics and developing initiatives to consistently deliver on business objectives. Intercontinental Area spans geographically from Canada, Latin America, Middle East, Africa to Asia Pacific. It provides excellent development opportunities, high level of interactions and exposure to diverse & dynamic markets across the globe.
Main Responsibility (90%):
- Business partner for Oncology Intercontinental Directors and their reports.
- Lead Oncology financial Planning Cycles – ACT / LBE / PLN / LRP. Drive monthly Actual, LBE (Latest Best Estimate), Annual Plan and LRP (Long Range Plan) as required, including Sales, HC, and P&L. Provide clear and concise reporting for ACT/LBE/PLN & LRP, both financial and commercial data. Track actual sales performance and dynamics, understand main drivers, key changes, and market dynamics.
- Develop and/or maintain commercial models to support forecast assumptions. Provide analytics and relevant financial information to support business decision making, commercial strategies, business development opportunities and resource allocations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into effective data solutions.
- Utilize advanced analytics to extract actionable insights from large datasets.
- Support ad hoc analysis as required.
Others (10%):
- Lead and manage PLN/LRP planning cycle.
- Innovate and lead improvement projects related to financial reporting, financial systems, and processes.
- Actively identify trends, challenging forecasts, validate and monitor assumptions for each brand. Performs ad hoc analysis and forecasts for internal management team and external customers to support business initiatives and decisions.
- Provide ad-hoc finance sharing or business insights sharing, training and support on templates, system related matters and others to Affiliates/Regions.
Education/Experience Required:
- Undergraduate Degree in a Finance related field, either Finance/Accounting.
- Requires 5-7 years of progressive Finance/FP&A experience in the pharma industry at different levels (affiliate, region, area, global, or US)
- Excellent Excel (inclusive of Macros), PowerPoint skills and being conversant with various systems SAP, Hyperion, Cognos TM1 and BPC (Planning tool) and the various Microsoft applications.
- Experience with Power BI and RPA is a plus.
