Finance Manager – Reserves Pricing Accounting is responsible for preparing consolidated accrued vs paid rebate schedules and analyzing variances for Medicaid, Managed Care, and Medicare, currently approx. $14 billion. Lead the month end close process and reconciles cash payments from SAP (general ledger) to Model N. Prepares monthly Blackline reconciliations and assists with preparation of the Quaterly Reserve Package. The Finance Manager works closely with Rebate Operations (Government and Commercial) to provide accurate payment forecasts. Finance Manager will also oversee top product level detail and review with pricing forecasting to ensure payments forecasts received from other pricing organizations are aligned to accruals and latest LBEs. Finance Manager will so provide ad hoc analysis/support as needed to Pricing Accounting and Forecasting team. Supports all Internal/External audits and prepares Plan/Update Balance Sheet forecasts for rebate accrual balances.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Prepare rebate paid vs. reserves analysis monthly for Medicaid, Medicare, Managed Care and analyze variances.
- Work closely with Rebate Operations (Government and Commercial) to develop accurate forecasts.
- Update on a quarterly basis the plus/minus schedule, providing net reserve position by product and program.
- Reconcile on a monthly basis general ledger and Model N.
- Provide support for internal and external audits.
- Prepare Plan/Update Balance Sheet forecasts for accrual balances.
- Assist in Preparing Consolidated Quarterly Reserve Package.
- Coordinate schedules to be included in Quarterly Reserve Package.
- Ad Hoc Reporting and Analysis.
- Annually review and document all procedures related to the group.
Qualifications
Basic
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting. CPA or MBA a plus
- Minimum 7 years progressive finance/ accounting experience
- Strong financial, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Strong organizational and communication skills (verbal and written)
- Proficient Microsoft Office skills required
- Knowledge of TM1, SAP a plus
