Job Description

The Field Operations Manager, Immunology is a key strategic partner for all Immunology sales forces when it comes to understanding the complexities of the teams’ incentive compensation plans and implementing them to ensure accurate and timely payouts and goals.

The main purpose of the role is to provide field support to the Immunology sales organization for their incentive compensation plans.  The Immunology Field Planning and Analytics IC team provides the overall strategy, direction, operational processes, resources, and tools that enable the sales team to drive sales effectively and efficiently. This includes providing support to existing franchises, supporting new product launches and new indication(s), and leading operational teams to ensure deliverables are accurate, on-time, and on budget.

This role requires a high level of analytical ability to ensure accuracy and evaluate options for IC plans. As a member of the Immunology FPAT IC team, this role, in partnership with in-field and internal business partners, owns the development Incentive Compensation Plans. The role will also be a primary business partner in communicating IC plans and performance, answering and researching field queries, and providing continue education on Incentive Compensation topics.

Responsibilities:

Incentive Compensation Operations – Execution and Analysis

  • Lead Incentive Compensation Operations: Responsible for leading and driving the sales crediting processes based on the business needs and rules of the franchise, including: data sources, market definitions, alignments, and strategic initiatives. Drive multiple complex projects, balancing between short-term and long-term objectives and managing the projects within timelines. Develop and deliver formal presentations to internal and field teams including senior management and sales leadership.
  • Drive Field Understanding and Knowledge: Understands the data needs of the Franchise and actively participates in data processes to ensure alignment with Franchise objectives. Thorough understanding of different types of data sources (Retail, Non-Retail, Patient Data, etc) and their granularity for their implementation in IC and uses this understanding to educate in-field business partners
  • Statistically Supported Analytics: A successful candidate will be skilled in a variety of analytical techniques. Responsible for performing thorough data analysis to ensure data accuracy in IC operations and communications. Ensure business rules are being followed, and timelines are met. Understand strategic and tactical issues, employ appropriate methodologies to analyze data and provide insights and recommendations.
  • Incentive Data Audit Processes: In conjunction with operational business partners, performs incentive data audit processes that are conducted quarterly and monthly for supported franchises
  • Issue Resolution and Data Management: Analyze IC data to resolve business inquiries and identify trends in IC results. Manage and investigate inquiries to provide a timely and successful resolution.

Collaboration and Consulting:

  • Serve as a lead member during design conversations, IC strategy approaches, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Partner with cross functional teams like MABI, Commercial Data Management, BTS, and the Incentive Compensation Operations team to provide guidance and support to the Franchise leaders in employing efficient processes for data validation and reporting.
  • Partner with the Field Tools team to provide guidance and insights on any Franchise related data/business questions to support accurate reporting.

Qualifications

Basic Qualification:

  • BA, BS degree required. BA/BS required to ensure effective understanding and application of business concepts.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access). 
  • Able to manage multiple tasks/priorities simultaneously with sense of urgency.
  • Strong project management, problem-solving, consulting, and analytical skills.
  • Strong customer and operations focus.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
