We are looking for a Facilities Engineer to join our team in Ballytivnan, Sligo. This is a Permanent position. The position reports directly to the Site Services Lead.
In this role you will manage the site facilities request process and act as the primary point of contact for the facilities works service provider.
This is an onsite role.
Your responsibilities will be:
- Oversee the pest control program and on-site service provider.
- Manage the facility cleaning program and cleaning service provider across GMP and non-GMP areas, ensuring compliance with required standards.
- Oversee canteen services and the on-site canteen service provider, ensuring catering services are delivered to the highest standard.
- Present quality management reviews for GMP cleaning and pest control programs.
- Act as the site’s lead contact for internal, global, and regulatory audits relating to facility maintenance, pest control, and cleaning programs.
- Manage grounds maintenance and landscaping, acting as the point of contact for the service provider.
- Ensure compliance with global and site engineering and quality policies and procedures.
- Comply with all EHS policies and procedures.
- Identify key metrics, develop dashboards for monthly reporting, and establish meaningful performance targets.
- Conduct thorough incident investigations and ensure CAPAs are completed on time.
- Support the site with product, process, and equipment validation where required.
- Select, approve, coordinate, and continuously monitor external facilities contractors.
- Ensure energy life cycle analysis is considered in facility long-range planning.
- Ensure optimum performance of infrastructure supporting the site’s EPA licence.
- Issue management reports as required and within agreed timelines.
- Manage budgets within target.
- Ensure safety standards are met and safe working practices are followed.
- Implement works in a continuous improvement environment.
- Support the Engineering Team in ensuring the facility is maintained to the required legal, divisional, and corporate standards.
- Liaise with Global Engineering as required.
- Negotiate costs and drive quality and performance with external contractors
- Act as the site point of contact for security on site
- Execute small, security-focused projects as needed and lead security investigations as they arise
- Work with Global Security to ensure site security is maintained to the highest standards
- Review aging Maximo work orders to align with Global MEP metrics and ensure engineering work orders are compliant, complete, and supported by appropriate closure documentation.
- Review and address aging service requests in Maximo.
- Generate E-achieve reports for completion dates and issue prompts to owners for required updates.
- Generate Soltraqs reports for CPs, CP tasks, NCRs, CAPAs, and effectiveness checks; monitor completion dates and prompt owners for updates.
- Support validation periodic reviews by providing reports for periodic review requirements and verifying PMs and CALs for validation protocols.
- Manage office space and seating layout plans.
- Update the weekly planner for embedded contractor tasks.
- Act as 6S Champion in assigned work location.
- Raise GMP permits and update GMP permit procedures to document routine engineering task requirements where appropriate.
What you will need:
- Level 8 qualification in Engineering
- Minimum 3+ years’ experience in a cGMP environment
- Minimum 5+ years work experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work across multiple different departments

Where We Work
Role is exclusively performed at a site or office and onsite presence is required. Employees who are site/office-based and can occasionally perform their role virtually work both in the office and remotely*, following the policies and regulations in place at their location. US Employees must be in the office on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday with flexibility to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays. Three days in the office is the minimum; some individuals or teams may require more in-office days due to meetings, business/project needs or their role.
