Ensure the reliability of the equipment used at AbbVie and manage the procurement, installation, maintenance, and control of equipment to meet safety, quality, and production objectives, in compliance with the safety and ergonomics standards and procedures established by the company.
Scope:
- Implement improvement projects for the equipment used in the production area.
- Advise different interdepartmental groups on improvement projects in all matters related to electromechanics and/or installation, movement, and testing of equipment at AbbVie.
- Coordinate and supervise the installation, movement, and testing of equipment requested by project or process engineering.
- Quote with suppliers for repairs and purchase of new or replacement equipment.
- Communicate to stakeholders about the status of equipment in meetings established by production to ensure the correct functioning of the equipment.
- Review and approve preventive and corrective maintenance according to company requirements and procedures.
- Train and educate maintenance technicians according to the competencies and skills required by the engineering area.
- Execute and close discrepancy and CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions) reports assigned to the maintenance department.
- Control spare parts inventory periodically to ensure equipment availability.
- Control department metrics according to company requirements.
- Ensure compliance with corporate and legal EHS requirements through adherence to policy and internal procedures, and ensure compliance through the adoption of necessary strategies, internal controls, communication, and training.
- Continuously improve EHS outcomes through engagement and active participation in all EHS-related initiatives.
- All other duties inherent to the position and those assigned by the immediate supervisor
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering.
- English B2+
- American Visa
- At least three years of experience in the electronics industry and at least two years in the medical industry, also experienced as a Technical Drafter (Electric/Mechanical drawing).
- Experience in medical devices transfer process
- Knowledge of good manufacturing practices.
- Quality/regulated Management Systems (GMP, FDA, ISO)
- Mechanical/Electronic Drawing and Design, Preventive Maintenance Control Systems
