The District Manager, Interventional Glaucoma (IG) is responsible for leading a region team responsible for promoting Sustained Release implant portfolio for Glaucoma. Will also oversee all aspects of managing the district’s sales results vs goal while overseeing the interviewing, selection, and development of Team and managing district’s customer facing activities for developing and maintaining relationships with strict adherence to compliance principles to ensure the overall success of US Interventional Glaucoma franchise. Responsible for accomplishing objectives of the district and provide support to US IG franchise short and long term strategy, tactical execution, promotional initiatives and meeting or exceeding region and business unit goals. The Will develop and implement improved procedures and practices while establishing, communicating, and pursuing objectives for the district to achieve.
Responsibilities
- District Sales Performance - Consistently attain growth and market share goals while managing the area operation within expense guidelines
- People Development, Team Development and Coaching - Provides leadership and direction for all colleagues. Responsible for recruiting, hiring, training, developing and performance management for the assigned district. Engages in coaching and counseling to develop innovative selling and account management skills along a continuum from new hires to advanced senior sales executives. Oversees development and succession planning to maximize results and ensure team development continuity.
- Field Execution - Leads sales direction across the region. Demonstrates the ability to execute marketing plans. Understands and communicates the sales execution role within the marketing plan. Area expert of product strategy and supporting initiatives. Demonstrates the ability to understand the marketing team’s role and provide appropriate feedback to plan implementation.
- Key Customer Management - Proactively identifies, develops and manages the EC relationship with established and emerging physicians, practices and/or accounts within an assigned Region.
- Implements account management plans and allocates resources with key accounts yielding growth, local, regional, and national influence. Effectively optimizes resources with accounts. Established as the key point of contact to manage customer relationship issues and/or opportunities. Understand the local, regional, and national marketplace.
- Lead and motivate others to attain the individual and collective goals and objectives outlined for the district.
- Demonstrate leadership in needs-based account selling processes that will deliver a long-term competitive advantage in the region.
- Provide leadership in KOL promotional programs, key account management and provide leadership to support sales and meet or exceed business goals of the district.
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field. MBA Preferred
- Sales experience. Minimum 5-7 years of Healthcare/Pharmaceutical experience, buy and bill, or device experience is required
- Business analysis and planning skills that drive sales performance.
- Excellent judgment and decision-making skills.
- Ability to articulate the scientific aspects of treatments and therapeutic areas.
- Proven ability to deliver candid, effective feedback and efficiently manage performance. Ability to develop talent for promotional opportunities.
Ability to create a culture of winning and full team engagement.

Valid driver’s license - An essential requirement of your position is to satisfy all applicable health care industry representative (HCIR) credentialing requirements to gain and maintain entry into facilities and organizations that are in your assigned territory. You must also be in good standing and/or eligible to obtain these credentials.
- These HCIR credentialing requirements may include, but are not limited to, background checks, drug screens, proof of immunization/vaccination for various diseases, fingerprinting and specific licenses required by individual state or cities. The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
