Role Overview: The Chief of Staff for Precision Medicine serves as a strategic partner to the leadership team, supporting the alignment and execution of organizational initiatives within the Precision Medicine function. This role acts as a central liaison among discovery research leadership, Chief of Staff colleagues, finance, and other key stakeholders, ensuring effective collaboration and successful project delivery aligned with organizational and partner goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with discovery research leadership to align project priorities and strategic initiatives.
- Manage planning of the Precision Medicine (PMed) asset team portfolio in collaboration with the Head of Biomarker Programs Management, ensuring a comprehensive and strategic approach to asset progression.
- Serve as a bridge between Precision Medicine and partner organizations, facilitating successful implementation of joint initiatives.
- Work alongside other Chiefs of Staff, finance, and cross-functional stakeholders to drive seamless execution of organizational priorities.
- Coordinate and ensure the scheduling of cross-functional review forums as key stage gates for each therapeutic area (TA), supporting effective portfolio governance and timely decision-making.
- Ensure that portfolio alignment and asset planning are closely integrated with budget forecasting and finance teams in discovery research, driving operational excellence and financial discipline.
- Monitor progress on key initiatives, identify risks, and ensure timely delivery of outcomes.
- Establish clear communication channels between internal teams and external partners.
- Support budgeting, resource planning, and performance tracking for precision medicine projects.
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, providing informed recommendations and guidance.
- Advanced degree in a scientific, medical, or business field preferred.
- Significant experience in precision medicine, drug discovery, or a related discipline.
- Strong organizational, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Proven ability to operate in a complex, matrixed environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

Pay Range: $
160500 - 305000 USD
Where We Work
Role is primarily site- or office-based but can occasionally be performed remotely. Employees who are site/office-based and can occasionally perform their role virtually work both in the office and remotely*, following the policies and regulations in place at their location. US Employees must be in the office on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday with flexibility to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays. Three days in the office is the minimum; some individuals or teams may require more in-office days due to meetings, business/project needs or their role.
