The Director Regional Strategy is an instrumental role in building regional strategy, with focus on ensuring manufacturing capacity for key and new products, along with leading complex programs. The role reports to VP Manufacturing Engineering & Contracting Europe and collaborates with multiple stakeholders across Europe Manufacturing network and Operations. Main responsibilities of the role include:
- Planning and execution of regional strategic/complex programs, including projects with business, financial, organizational, compliance and cultural impact. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Coordinating sites leadership in the definition of key projects, implementation strategies and timeline, including building master plans to ensure sustainability and success,
- Communicating program requirements, priorities and decisions, regularly and effectively
- Leading and directing multiple cross-functional teams for the implementation of the programs, managing strategy, execution, and budget.
- Evaluating contingency plans and risk management strategies. Leading team discussions to resolve issues and ensure alignment throughout program execution.
- Support to Europe ME&C VP and Site Directors in preparation of business plan as well as LRP discussions. This includes, but is not limited to
- Coordinating volumes data collection and alignment on splits over plan/LRP with sites and rest of the network
- Coordinating Europe region reviews and discussions
- Partnering with Site Directors to develop and implement regional initiatives to achieve network objectives
- Developing in collaboration with the finance teams appropriate tools, performance indicators and decks that enable monitoring and control of financial performance at senior leadership level.
- Support plants into preparation for S&OP and business performance reviews
- Support sites in Operational Excellence and Business Excellence deployment initiatives.
- Bachelor degree in Science or Engineering; MBA is preferred.
- Strong technical knowledge and operational experience in GMP manufacturing, Quality operations, CMC development and pharmaceutical regulations is required.
- Demonstrated diverse expertise in API/ bulk substance / OSD / sterile fill finish.
- Demonstrated strong planning and project management skills while managing large, complex programs in the pharmaceutical industry.
- 10+ years of industry specific experience.
- Strong strategic thinking and leadership skills.
- Strong communication, organization, analytical, presentation, and people skills.
- Demonstrated experience in a global and multi-cultural environment.
- Proven ability to resolve conflicts across cross-functional teams and technical experts.
- Ability to understand technical aspects of complex systems and guide cross-functional and detailed technical discussions during critical problem-solving exercises.
