The Director, PSEQ AI Business Strategy & Implementation plays a crucial role in the successful implementation of artificial intelligence (AI) and advanced technology solutions across the Patient Safety, Epidemiology, and R&D Quality Assurance (PSEQ) organization. The position collaborates with cross-functional teams, including information technology professionals, data scientists, project managers, solution developers, and business stakeholders to identify AI opportunities, develop deployment strategies, and ensure seamless integration of AI technologies into existing systems and processes.

Responsibilities:

·        Set the strategic direction for AI deployment within the PSEQ organization (in cooperation with AIPP Adjudication Committee and AI Executive Sponsor), aligning it with the overall business strategy and goals.   Collaborate with senior leadership and key stakeholders to develop a clear roadmap for AI deployment, including milestones, timelines, and resource requirements.

·        Partner with the BTS organization and act as the PSEQ Business Lead in the end-to-end development and deployment process of AI solutions (ideation to post-implementation); Work closely with the various compliance teams to ensure AI deployment adheres to relevant regulations, privacy, and ethical standards.

·        Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the success and impact of AI deployment initiatives.   Continuously evaluate and refine the AI deployment strategy based on feedback, market dynamics, and organizational needs.

·        Collaborate with key stakeholders to identify and prioritize AI use cases that align with business goals and objectives.   Supports the decision-making bodies managing the AI portfolio (Adjudication Committee; Executive Sponsor). Assess the feasibility and potential risks of deploying AI solutions, considering technical, regulatory, ethical, and security aspects.

·        Develop deployment strategies and roadmaps for implementing AI solutions effectively and efficiently.   Provide regular updates to senior management on the progress, challenges, and opportunities related to AI deployment initiatives.

·        Develop and maintain strong relationships with external partners, vendors, and industry experts to stay informed about cutting-edge AI technologies and best practices.   Act as an advocate for AI deployment, educating stakeholders on the strategic importance and potential benefits of AI technologies for the organization.

·        Stay up to date with the latest advancements in AI technologies and industry best practices to drive continuous improvement in AI deployment processes.

·        Coordinate with project managers, technical teams, and business stakeholders to ensure smooth integration of AI solutions into existing systems and processes.

Significant Work Activities -Continuous sitting for prolonged periods (more than 2 consecutive hours in an 8 hour day)

Qualifications:

·        Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field. A master's degree is preferred.

·        10+ years of increasing responsibility conceiving and implementing advanced technologies required, specific experience implementing intelligent automation like AI, ML, NLP, RPA… preferred.

·        Certification in AI Strategy is a plus.   i.e., Association for the Advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AAAI), Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), Global AI Hub, digit’s AI Academy for Business, Simplilearn, or equivalent.

·        Proven experience in AI deployment, machine learning, or data science projects, with a solid understanding of AI technologies and their application is required.

·        Demonstrated ability to think strategically, anticipate future trends, and make data-driven decisions.

·        Proven experience in formulating and implementing strategic deployment strategies in a corporate environment.

·        Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead and coordinate complex projects involving multiple stakeholders.

·        Excellent communication, storytelling, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
