Purpose
The Director of TR Project Management, Education & Change Management is a senior-level HR professional responsible for leading the design, implementation, and ongoing management of complex total rewards projects (incll. compensation, benefits, and well-being programs). Overseeing project teams and ensuring alignment with organizational goals and budget constraints, while adhering to legal compliance and market trends; ensuring smooth transitions by developing strategic change plans and communicating effectively with stakeholders as well as actively managing resistance to large-scale initiatives.
Responsibilities
Strategic Planning:
- Collaborates in the development of the I&I Strategy and Team norms and driving a new innovative approach to Total Rewards at AbbVie.
- Drives integrated TR strategy via the TR Roadmap
- Establishes the I&I PMO to support delivery of projects and initiatives.
- Develops and executes comprehensive TR project plans aligned with the TR Roadmap and business objectives.
- Strategically identifies and collaborates HR leadership and stakeholders to identify project needs, priorities, and desired outcomes.
- Identifies and tracks metrics for TR Roadmap/strategy success, establish feedback mechanisms and conduct Voice of the Customer to gather, analyze and summarize data, including employee engagement, adoption rates, and business impact, to identify areas for improvement.
Project Management:
- Leads cross-functional project teams, assigning tasks, managing timelines, and tracking progress against project milestones.
- Manages project risks, identify potential issues, and implement contingency plans.
- Ensures effective communication and stakeholder engagement throughout the project lifecycle.
- Develops and maintains tools, templates and resources to support TR Roadmap as well as in support of the success of the new operating model
- Mentors and guides leaders at all levels to effectively champion change initiatives within their teams.
Education and Change Management:
- Develops comprehensive change management strategies aligned with TR priorities and business objectives, including identifying potential impacts, risks, and mitigation plans.
- Effectively engages HR, People Leaders, Employees about new or revised TR programs.
- Works closely with project teams to integrate change management activities into project plans, ensuring seamless transition throughout the project lifecycle.
- Creates clear and concise communication plans to inform employees/people leaders/HR about upcoming changes, address potential resistance, and provide regular updates on progress.
- Designs and delivers training programs to equip employees/PLs/HR/TR with the necessary skills and knowledge to adapt to new processes and systems.
- Designs, develops and implements communications and education materials with a Global and User Experience centered approach.
- Manages change effectively to minimize disruption during implementation of new TR initiatives.
- Builds relationships with key stakeholders across the organization, effectively communicating change initiatives, addressing concerns, and gaining buy-in.
Other Duties as Assigned
- Supports transition to the new operating model. Develop and drive transition plan and steps in partnership with TR leadership team.
Qualifications
Around 15 - 20 years of experience as HR Professional across multiple disciplines with a strong focus on communication, organizational effectiveness, change management & education.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications, Project Management, or related field.
- Proven experience in leading large-scale organizational change initiatives (ex. HR transformation and M&A).
- Leadership skills to influence and motivate teams across the organization
- Ability to build consensus and manage complex stakeholder dynamics
- Strong writing and graphic design skills to turn data into stories
- Strong analytical skills and problem-solving ability to interpret data to inform strategic decisions and to identify potential challenges and develop solutions
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders
- Expertise in project management, change management, and training methodologies, frameworks, and tools (e.g., Prosci, ADKAR Model, Kotter) to ensure timely execution of TR initiatives
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Prior experience in pharma or healthcare industry and managing in a complex matrixed environment.

The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
