The Director, Cross Medical Engagement provides strategic and executional leadership across the organization. Develop long-term, integrated global Medical Engagement strategy in partnership with VP, Med Engagement and syndicated with TA VPs. The cross-Medical Engagement leader will effectively manage matrix of Med Engagement, TA, and cross-functional stakeholders along with technical/ strategic interdependencies of ongoing ME initiatives to drive progress in line with the long-term strategy and organizational roadmap.
- Act as strategic thought partner to provide recommendations based on insights collated from cross-functional teams within Med Engagement and across MA + HEOR
- Serve as proxy for VP, Med Engagement, representing MA + HEOR Med Engagement strategy, priorities, and capabilities with cross-functional partners
- Drive strategic initiatives that span multiple teams within Med Engagement, aligned to long-term strategic roadmap
- Own overall change management levers and story for medical engagement, integrating strategies across senior leaders and effectively problem solving any gaps/ roadblocks
- Lead financial planning for Med Engagement
- Lead change management and transformation efforts within Med Engagement, facilitating the adoption of new processes, technologies, or innovative initiatives to drive continuous improvement
- Improve operational efficiency by analyzing processes and identifying opportunities to streamline workflow, harness cross-team synergies, and minimize duplicative work
- Serves as thought partner to Med Eng leadership and point of contact for teams across the entire function
- Ensure a high performing Med Eng function through cross-functional prioritization of key initiatives, leadership of talent management initiatives to grow and retain key ME talent, proactive identification of training needs and upskilling opportunities
- Drive culture building initiatives to improve cross-team connectivity and establish a safe environment to allow for rapid cycle agile iteration of innovative ideas
Significant Work Activities -Continuous sitting for prolonged periods (more than 2 consecutive hours in an 8 hour day),Keyboard use (greater or equal to 50% of the workday)
- Bachelor’s degree with at least 10 years industry experience in the Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical, or other Healthcare related field
- Experience on cross-functional teams and initiatives
- Preferred certification in Project Management and/or Lean Six Sigma
- Experience with managing a team with direct reports
- Proven ability to lead, manage, and motivate others in a complex, multi-functional matrix environment
- Broad understanding of the pharmaceutical business
- Project management/project planning experience on global projects
- Professional collaboration and leadership skills
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
- Ability to effectively present ideas and document complex medical/clinical concepts and processes in both written and oral communication
