Reporting to the Vice President, Specialty Care, International Marketing and Commercial Operations, this role will help define AbbVie’s Specialty Care portfolio maximization strategies by taking into account future trends, proposing best operating models in collaboration with multiple functions, and embedding Advanced Customer Experience (ACE) and FutureFit models and practices across the Specialty Care brands.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain strong business relationships across AbbVie functional areas: ICEX, Learning, WWD, BTS, Finance, Business HR, etc. Collaborate to implement frameworks and ensure functional expertise and capabilities, and that resources and budget are available and appropriately leveraged through the portfolio.
- Responsible for supporting data planning operations across the Specialty Care portfolio: ELT Reporting, Patient and HCP Tracking, Commercial Model, Financial LRP and Brand Plan guidance
- Partner with International Customer Excellence to design and align priority initiatives. Represent Specialty priorities and provide Specialty specific insights to shape development of ICEx strategies and initiatives. Define and align to brand priorities for implementation
- Maintain understanding of ACE/ FutureFit initiatives across the functions, and work closely with the International Customer Excellence teams, Affiliates and INBTs to implement practical solutions to drive business in coordination with process owners and key stakeholders.
- Accelerate INBT adoption of ACE/FutureFit capabilities by customizing and consulting with INBTs within the brand-indication context
- Responsible for the accelerated embedment of ACE in the INBT through:
- Coaching and leading direct report and ACE leads in the brand teams, to lead the monthly ACE Strategy Meetings; Prepare the monthly ACE Pulse reporting in the Brand performance meetings and elevate to the VP Performance review.
- Ensure ACE is embedded in the Tactical Plan by the Strategy Leads and facilitate the periodic review (est 6 monthly) of the insights with ACE Lead / Performance Lead / MABI to enhance the tactical plan. Notably the 3 phase Value Pool belief to behavior planning by affiliate brand teams and Value Pool Journey insights to inform guidance internationally.
- Ensure all INBT members are ACE certified and drive Marketer of the Future through roll out of curriculum and learning levels
- Partner with Area and core Affiliates to embed ACE through the processes and business discussion touchpoints; review ACE Strategic insights and ACE Pulse performance metrics. Anticipate opportunities for acceleration and risks.
- Engage and partner with other Strategic Operations Leads for various initiatives and to build key capabilities within IMCO.
- Bachelor’s degree (advanced degree preferred) in business or biosciences or equivalent
- At least 10 years of pharmaceutical marketing, brand management, or other relevant experience
- Area and/or Affiliate experience preferred
- Leadership Team roles, Business Unit Management experience (preferably with Specialty Care brands)
- Established scientific background and ability to read scientific data in order to create insights and action
- Strategic thinker, and ability to anticipate trends and changes in the market
- Analytical and organizational skills, able to define well-structured strategic plans
- Planning, organizing and managing multiple complex projects whilst dealing with conflicting priorities, efficiently and effectively
- Strong implementation skills and experience
- Networking and communication skills that build effective working relationships with all levels of the organization and a broad range of internal cross-functional stakeholders
- Ability to inspire teams utilizing effective written and oral communication and storytelling in writing strategic documents
