Purpose:
The Director, Integration and Acquisitions Operations, holds overarching responsibility for the seamless management and oversight of all activities involved in integrating new companies or acquired assets into the Operations function, processes and systems. This role is critical to Operations ability to adeptly navigate transition phases, minimizing disruptions while ensuring business continuity, maintaining consistency with standards, and preserving quality throughout integration activities.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborates with the AbbVie Integration Office for product acquisitions and to ensure adequate plans are in place to address unique needs of each transaction as the lead of Integrations and Acquisitions for Operations.
- Coordinates functional teams throughout the span of the integration lifecycle to ensure seamless transition of functional activities and studies into the AbbVie operating model.
- Comprehends BD plans and resource models into integration plans.
- Leads the Operations integration team either with direct reports or through matrix teams.
- Ensures Operations readiness for Day 1 deliverables and maintains confidentiality through preparations with appropriate Operations team members.
- Partners with Operations VPs and other key leaders to create interim and long-term planning, identify and execute synergies where applicable and manage integration risks.
- Works cross functionally with Finance, Commercial, R&D and Operations Functional Leaders to identify and assign resources to manage the pre- and post- Day 1 integration activities.
- Identifies cross-functional dependencies and creates appropriate connections and collaboration across Operations and other enterprise functions.
- Ensures the successful integration of people, process, and technologies and builds transition plans in collaboration with SMEs for business process, training, compliance, change management and other associated roles.
- Responsible for creation and continuous improvement of the Operations specific integration process framework, resources and tools. Maintains business continuity for both AbbVie and acquired company as well as transparency of integration activities.
- Bachelor’s Degree, Science or Engineering, Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10+ years of experience in Operations
- Proven ability to lead, manage, and motivate others in a complex, multi-function matrix environment.
- Strong understanding of Operations processes.
- Executive level collaboration and leadership skills.
- Ability to make decisions with little information and resolves problems through balanced, realistic understanding of issues.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Embraces different perspectives, nurtures innovation and promotes a positive working culture.

Pay Range: $
160500 - 305000 USD
Where We Work
Role is primarily site- or office-based but can occasionally be performed remotely. Employees who are site/office-based and can occasionally perform their role virtually work both in the office and remotely*, following the policies and regulations in place at their location. US Employees must be in the office on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday with flexibility to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays. Three days in the office is the minimum; some individuals or teams may require more in-office days due to meetings, business/project needs or their role.
