The Director, Botox Reimbursement Business Advisors (RBA) leads, manages, and coaches the RBA team across the Botox Portfolio. The RBA educates HCPs on the AbbVie patient experience programs, focusing on access and reimbursement support. The Director, Botox Reimbursement Business Advisors (RBA) will be responsible for leading a team of RBA’S to support Abbvie Patient Services initiatives. The Director must have demonstrated significant people leadership skills and technical understanding of coverage, coding, payment, and distribution of Abbvie products and the rules and regulations that govern the provision of reimbursement support.
The primary responsibility of the Director, Botox Reimbursement Business Advisors (RBA) is to ensure their RBA management team leads their RBA effectively, engaging customers to understand key coverage, coding, payment, product acquisition and affordability dynamics for Botox in their local geography. The Director Botox Reimbursement Business Advisors (RBA) will spend most of the time working with the RBA leadership team and periodic ride alongs to ensure the RBA is compliantly and effectively leveraging the tools and materials provided by Abbvie. In addition, the Director, Botox Reimbursement Business Advisors (RBA) will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring quality control measures to ensure all team members are following AbbVie expectations and ways of working. The Director, Botox Reimbursement Business Advisors (RBA) must effectively and compliantly engage with a team of internal stakeholders, including Patient Services, Brand, Market Access, Sales, Center of Excellence and Access and Reimbursement support hub.
This position requires building strong relationships with internal business partners, collaborating to deliver results, hitting key launch timelines, improving effectiveness, and assisting in delivering a high quality, streamlined patient experience.
- Ensure team compliance with the appropriate ways of working.
- Lead the development and implementation of patient services access resources and programs into a national execution plan, including identifying training needs, in-field and National/Regional meetings, with the purpose of elevating overall field team effectiveness, including direct report DRBA’S and RBA’s.
- Work with peers in Market Access and Trade across the Botox portfolio to understand the changing Healthcare Landscape and communicate appropriate information to the RBA team.
- Appropriately communicate patient services and access program information to sales teams in a compliant way
- Utilize analytics tools to monitor call overall team performance, activity, and capacity.
- Develop, implement, and execute effective skill development plans for direct reports and their teams. Deliver consistent coaching direction via team calls, field-travel and meeting engagements and optimize their ability to provide effective access to support HCPs.
- Partner with legal and compliance teams to ensure programs are compliant and evolve as needed based on new laws / regulations.
- Strategize, design, and develop multiple aspects for patient support program.
- Work closely with Patient Support Services colleagues and IT to ensure data exchanges with the vendor(s) are timely and accurate.
- Develop, monitor and advance development planning process with direct reports and their RBA teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree: MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in coverage, coding, Field Reimbursement Manager or equivalent role.
- Minimum 5 years of experience leading field teams, successful team coaching, management, and personnel development experience.
- Thorough understanding of the technical payer policy processes, systems and requirements for coverage, coding, and payment for Abbvie medicines.
- Demonstrated understanding of the rules, regulations and risks associated with provision of reimbursement support services and how to monitor and mitigate those risks.
- Comprehensive understanding of Medicare (Including Managed), Medicaid (including Managed), and Commercial Payers.
- Track record of strong leadership contributions
- Ability to travel up to 50%
- Valid Driver’s License

The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
